  • 855 Bergen Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal Square
Tree pit at new development is undersized, not in conformance with Tree Standards
  • 338 Sip Ave Jersey City, New Jersey, 07306 - Journal Square
This house for sale has included tree pits and a driveway but the tree pits are undersized. They could be made bigger on one side, on the other side it would impede the driveway and the neighbors driveway.
  • 383 Halladay St Jersey City, New Jersey, 07304 - Bergen-Lafayette
Nearly every tree on this block has been pruned but this tree was destroyed. Every single branch has been cut off. This is a horribly disturbing sight. A perfectly healthy tree no longer able to provide much needed shade and shelter for wildlife.
  • 17 Liberty Ave Jersey City NJ 07306, United States - Journal Square
Another tree vandalism incident on Liberty Ave
  • 35 Orchard St Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - McGinley Square
Two mature cherry trees were chopped down in the last couple of days in front of 35 Orchard. Construction of 35 Orchard has been ongoing for about 18 months, and they have damaged the branches of all the street trees, but now they just cut down two trees entirely. These trees were a neighborhood amenity. Please investigate
  • 128 Sycamore Rd Jersey City, New Jersey, 07305 - Greenville
weeping willow removed from Greenway at foot of Mina
  • 63 Lexington Ave Jersey City, New Jersey, 07304 - West Side
The asphalted over tree pit, previously submitted, has not been addressed, and demolition of the adjacent house is endangering this tree. A truck is parked on the roots in the tree pit and has damaged several branches.
  • 25 Hudson St Jersey City, New Jersey, 07302 - The Waterfront

At least 3 healthy, lush tree canopies were brutally removed (only the trunk is left and they'll take many years to regrow to such extent) on the south lawn of Liberty Terrace building, without any communication to the residents who were enjoying the shade, the beauty and the life-supporting functions of such majestic canopies.

    We request clarification regarding:
    1) why the canopies were completely removed
    2) who requested this action
    3) who approved it
    4) why residents were not informed/involved in the decision

Importantly, how can we prevent this from happening again in the future?
Thank you for your attention on this matter.

  • Pershing Plz Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - The Heights

A tree has a branch destroyed right next to the first carnival ride. Since I haven't been to the park in a few weeks, I do not know if the ride set-up broke the tree or if it was broke before they got there.

Either way, please do some TLC on the tree since we have so few and the ones on this end of the field keep getting abused.

(There is no category for "tree damage", so lease adjust.

  • 43 Sherman Place Jersey City New Jersey, 07307 - The Heights
This property was required to have 2 trees planted for additional parking that was added in the rear of property both trees have been killed .. one pit already filled with cement last year , now this one . we want those trees replaced!.....
  • 146 Van Winkle Ave Jersey City, New Jersey, 07306 - Journal Square
Wasn't sure of the best category for this but the owner of 146 Van Winkle has covered the tree pit with thick plastic contractor's bags. This was presumably done to avoid having to take care of weeding the tree pit (given that they don’t otherwise take care of their property) but is depriving the tree of water. Please have them remove the plastic sheeting.
