The people who own this property run a 4 unit short term rental (which is also a problem) but more immediately - they're gradually cutting this tree down because they want to make a driveway It was a beautiful tree Probably there for 70 years or so Maybe more

growing tree is pushing the metal cover on to the sidewalk creating a tripping hazard and narrowing the sidewalk. can the metal cover be removed?
  • 104 Logan Ave Jersey City, New Jersey, 07306 - Journal Square
There’s no way they have a forestry permit for this work. I saw them pouring a few days ago and couldn’t post until now. These tree pits are too small and were done to accommodate a driveway. The forestry department would not have approved that. This means this tree work was done illegally without a permit. Please do something before they finish the house. That strange metal gate around the tree is also a violation. The address might actually be 106, I was in a hurry. Please check asap.
  • 18 Fairmount Ter Jersey City, New Jersey, 07306 - West Side
Large tree in front of my home 18 Fairmount Terrace is dangerously leaning towards the middle of the street. In addition, the large overgrown roots of the tree is lifting the concrete of the sidewalk causing an unsafe and uneven walking surface. The street gets heavy foot traffic due to the nearby St. Peter’s University student population & faculty staff & visitors. The tree is causing unsafe conditions & possibly falling onto oncoming traffic or onto a parked car or nearby homes. In order to avoid a foreseeable tragedy the tree needs to be removed & grind down the stump to sidewalk level. Anything that can be done to remedy this situation will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance with this matter. Felix & Wilma Pacheco concerned homeowners.

  • 880 Bergen Ave Jersey City NJ 07306, United States - Journal Square
The new tree in Bergen square looks like was damaged. The tree is 1/2 dead. Can an arborist inspect this tree? See the images the lower portion of the trunk was peeled off. -
  • 108-176 Van Vorst St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
The grating around this tree is missing and is a serious trip hazard and a problem for strollers and buggys. All of the other trees on this part of Van Vorst have gratings around the trees but this one is a sharp-edged hole.

    Tree needs to be trimmed.
  • 197 New York Ave Jersey City NJ 07307, United States - The Heights
Developer planted 3x undersized and not approved under the wires species - per Ordinance requirements specify 2" caliper minimum Need to fix this. Thanks
  • 266 Palisade Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
The trees on the side of New York Ave need attention. There are tons of cut or broken branches that should be cleared out. There are also many dead trees that could fall and cause significant damage further up on the hill. It would be great for someone to come and inspect and make a plan for removal and clearing of the area. The retention wall appears to have some structural issues as well. Clearing the trees will make that easier to investigate

  • 102 Logan Ave Jersey City, New Jersey, 07306 - Journal Square
These trees have now been utterly butchered with improper pruning and there is a POWER LINE wrapped around one of them. These trees will likely have to be removed now. The developer needs to be fined for illegal pruning and sabotaging these trees
