Parking issuesتم إقراره30 Regent St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
I live at 30 Regent Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302 and pay to park in the garage located there. Because I suffer from complicated & potentially life-threatening health issues, I am physically disabled and unable to walk the 1/4 mile from my residence to the Liberty Harbor ferry. I have permanent Handicapped License Plates to ensure that I am not forced to try to ambulate distances.
Since I am still gainfully employed in New York City, I commute via the Liberty Harbor NY Waterways Ferry to Pier 11. Unfortunately, there were NO Handicapped Spaces in the Marina Parking Lot even though I had already paid to park there for the day. My Physicians (multiple specialists) restrict me from walking distances or attempting to stand from prolonged time frames; thus, I was left without handicapped accessible parking options when I arrived at the Liberty Harbor Marina to take the 9:30am Ferry to Pier 11. In order to ensure I made the 9:30am ferry to Pier 11, the RV Park allowed me to park in a space about 5 spaces removed from their office; however, they advised that I would only be able to park there for today.
Please advise what the contingency plans are in place for handicapped residents when the Marine Marina Ferry Parking Lot runs out of handicapped accessible spaces. I was advised by the clerk in the RV Park that the limited amount of disabled persons parking was assessed as sufficient by Regulators even though they were clearly unable to accommodate my needs for 02/12/2020.

Sidewalk Obstructionتم إقراره346 Second St Jersey City 07302, United States - Downtown
JCPD is supposed to be a part of public safety, but instead put pedestrians at risk on a regular basis.
Please tell them to stay out of the crosswalks with their oversized vehicles.

Pedestrian Safety Study Requestتم إقراره146 New York Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The HeightsMy husband was clipped by a car while crossing this crosswalk, and the driver followed us into Low Fidelity to start a fight. This crosswalk is incredibly dangerous and drivers are getting more and more aggressive.
We continue to get stuck in the middle of the crosswalk since northbound cars fail to stop for crossing pedestrians. Where is the safety study that was requested more than a year ago? What is being done to protect pedestrians? -
Pedestrian Safety Study Requestتم إقراره340 Newark Ave Jersey City, NJ 07302, USA - DowntownThe intersection of Newark, 5th and Merseles is a tragedy waiting to happen during morning rush hour as kids are crossing on the way to PS5. There is no stop sign, traffic light to protect pedestrians in the crosswalk. Drivers ignore the flashing crossing lights and turn a 2 lane road into 4 as the cross the median and pass vehicles on the right OR LEFT to get by the cars that DO stop for pedestrians. They also ignore the crossing guard (who has been absent the past week). The 25mph speed limit is ignored as people are doing 40. In the few weeks school has been open, there have been close calls even when the crossing guard is there holding up a stop sign. The construction at the intersection also limits sidewalk space.

194 Wayne St Jersey City NJ 07302, United States - DowntownWayne Street between Monmouth Street and Brunswick Street is considered an Access Easement, but drivers frequently use it as a shortcut to skip the traffic light at Monmouth and Columbus Drive or a shortcut from Brunswick to Monmouth to avoid the traffic light at Montgomery Street. Drivers frequently race down this narrow access easement at high speeds. Previous signage indicating the status of Wayne Street is old and illegible at this point. Please consider posting new signage of the status of Wayne St., multiple speed bumps / humps, a reduced speed limit of 10 or 15mph, and additional enforcement.

443 Ogden Ave Jersey City 07307, United States - The HeightsSomething like 30-50 / hr buses try to squeeze through the block of Congress between Paterson Plank and Palisade—plus hundreds of vehicles and pedestrians. The onstreet parking of 20 cars should be banned during the morning rush. It makes difficult for buses to turn and reduces visibility of pedestrians at crosswalks. This would be a minor inconvenience for 20 people easing travel for thousands.
