Traffic: Signal, Signage, and Striping MaintenanceΑναγνωρισμένοOld Bergen Rd At Winfield Ave Jersey City, NJ 07305, USA - GreenvilleThe intersection of Winfield and Old Bergen Rd. desperately needs stop signs, a traffic signal, or a speed bump. Cars speed dangerously down Old Bergen Rd at all hours as the entire stretch from Merritt St to Bartholdi has no traffic signals, stop signs, speed bumps, etc. The Winfield intersection is particularly vulnerable as residents, including children and those with pets, trying to cross into or out of Columbia Park face very dangerous conditions. These conditions also include cars turning left on to Old Bergen Rd. from Bartholdi when those cars catch the green light. Knowing there's no stop sign or speed bump there, cars turn left on to Old Bergen Rd at or above the speed limit with low visibility. if you're a pedestrian crossing Old Bergen Rd those left-turning cars are an additional hazard that are not visible and can't be anticipated.

Pedestrian Safety RequestΑναγνωρισμένο9th St & Manila Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - DowntownWe need traffic lights here, with an exclusive pedestrian green light. I pass through this intersection on a daily basis both as a pedestrian and as a driver - it is scary! Coming from 9th St onto Manila Ave, the visibility is limited for drivers and there are 3 pedestrian crosswalks to keep track of. There are several schools in the immediate vicinity: Cordero, Scandi, HPMS.

Pedestrian Safety RequestΑναγνωρισμένο135 New York Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
Is it possible for the city to completely ban huge trucks to pass in this area? First, the streets are narrow and no such truck should be allowed in this residential areas.
Second, the trucks make a lot of noise when hitting the speed humps because they dont even stop and just fly over them.
Third, these huge trucks create a lot of traffic. Last week, one of them was stuck because it could not make the turn due to narrow streets. It is the city's duty to put the appropriate signs so the drivers of these trucks are aware before even entering an area.
It is imperative that the city makes the life of its citizens SAFE and STRESSLESS.

Pedestrian Safety RequestΑναγνωρισμένο50-98 New York Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The HeightsCars are frequently parked on the sidewalk, completely obstructing the path. At the curve where the sidewalk narrows, this forces pedestrians into the street day after day. Today, while pushing a stroller with a baby, we had to wait for traffic to clear, and the driver who had parked on the sidewalk became aggressive when we politely asked them not to block the path. I understand that there is a site entrance there, but this is one of the few accesses from downtown to the Heights. Can a removable barrier be placed?

Traffic/Pedestrian Safety Study RequestsΑναγνωρισμένοTown Square Pl & Washington Blvd Jersey City, NJ, 07310, USA - The WaterfrontThis intersection is especially dangerous in both directions for multiple reasons. We've come dangerously close to hitting pedestrians and being sideswiped by other drivers on numerous occasions. The pedestrian crossing from the mall to the PATH is on a diagonal, meaning that pedestrians cross along a very long area but with little respite in the median due to the large exhaust tower and tall grasses in the way; they're often walking along the curb or running out quickly in front of drivers since they have nowhere else to go. What's more is that there are cars stopping suddenly on both sides of the street to pickup/drop off passengers. Finally, the exhaust tower and grasses are super dangerous for driver sight lines when driving south, and for pedestrians attempting to cross from the median toward the mall. I go through this intersection very slowly and still have to frequently slam on my brakes or veer quickly into the other lane.

Pedestrian Safety Study RequestΑναγνωρισμένοJersey Ave & Montgomery St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - DowntownDrivers don’t respect pedestrians while crossing the street. They make right or left turns without giving priority to the pedestrians in spite of the pedestrians having the green light. Both me and my wife have been very close to get run over several times.

Speed Hump RequestΑναγνωρισμένοSkillman Ave & Van Winkle Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal SquareRequesting a speed bump or a stop sign at this pedestrian heavy crossings on Van Winkle and Skillman Ave. Cars speed up this hill just to beat the signal and reach JFK Blvd. There have been multiple instances of pedestrians almost getting run over.

Pedestrian Safety RequestΑναγνωρισμένο2nd St & Warren St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - The WaterfrontI am not sure why the City keeps making requests for this intersection closed. This is one of the busiest intersections in downtown jersey city for parents crossing with strollers and cars persistently go the wrong way on second street to cut through the BJs parking lot. This intersection needs a crossing guard at a minimum every morning and afternoon to deter this from happening.
