  • Columbia Ave & Thorne St Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
This is another corner that needs the white poles, coming up this hill is dangerous as well with the stop sign not being enough to see who is coming at a blind corner
  • 65 Bay St Jersey City, New Jersey, 07302 - The Waterfront
Pedestrian safety hazard- Drivers don't stop for pedestrians at this intersection that has a pedestrian cross signal. Drivers do not abide, continue to speed, and are very aggressive. We feel unsafe. Please monitor and install something to make this corridor safer.
  • 367 Palisade Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
The intersection of Franklin and Palisade is becoming increasingly dangerous for pedestrians. I was nearly run over this morning by a car turning right onto Palisade and the driver wasn’t even watching for pedestrians in the crosswalk. This is becoming too common- drivers are only focused on getting on car traffic. There needs to be something protecting pedestrians from right turning cars, especially considering a bus stop and multiple daycares are around this intersection.
  • 5th St & Brunswick St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
Curb extensions with bollards are needed at this intersection. Cars parked close to the stop sign have a low field of view of incoming pedestrians.
  • Bergen Ave & Kearney Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07305, USA - Bergen-Lafayette
Resident is requesting sign or delineators be put on Bergen Avenue at Kearney Avenue. She said it is hard to make a left hand turn from Kearney onto Bergen when the cars are parked near the corner.
  • 50-98 New York Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
Cars are frequently parked on the sidewalk, completely obstructing the path. At the curve where the sidewalk narrows, this forces pedestrians into the street day after day. Today, while pushing a stroller with a baby, we had to wait for traffic to clear, and the driver who had parked on the sidewalk became aggressive when we politely asked them not to block the path. I understand that there is a site entrance there, but this is one of the few accesses from downtown to the Heights. Can a removable barrier be placed?
  • Erie St & Newark Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
This crosswalk is regularly blocked and the street continuously bogged down in traffic. It’s unsafe especially when you consider that it is in the heart of the pedestrian plaza.
  • Speed Hump RequestAcknowledged
157-195 Manhattan Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
Requesting the construction of necessary traffic calming measures on Manhattan Ave (a two lane, residential roadway with a posted speed of less than 30 mph) between 157 and 195.
  • Bergen Ave & Fairmount Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - McGinley Square
This intersection is very dangerous for pedestrians. Constant illegal parking, including in crosswalks, reduces visibility and drivers frequently run red lights. Misaligned nature of the intersection means drivers often get stuck in intersection on red and speed through crosswalks. Drivers turning from the one-way section of Fairmount in particular cannot see pedestrians well nor can pedestrians see them well.
  • 14th St Jersey City 07310, United States - The Waterfront
The pedestrian signal for crossing the Washington Blvd is only about 20 seconds which is very challenging for pedestrians to cross the blvd. Can you do a study and increase the timing of the pedestrian signal?
  • Mcdougall St & Randolph Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07304, USA - Bergen-Lafayette
Cars are driving extremely fast and has made the crossing from McDougal a very dangerous one Not only for pedestrians but for the incoming traffic incorporating to Randolph The speed bumps are just encouraging people to go around them or speed up and "jump" them Maybe a stop sign could help
  • Speed Hump RequestAcknowledged
Central Ave & Irving St Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
Can we get speed humps on central in front of the park? Cars park in crosswalks and the cars don’t stop for pedestrians in the crosswalk. Also needed for pershing field’s perimeter.
