Cars do not stop for pedestrians when the pedestrian lights are flashing. I use this cross walk daily, and most of the time cars do not stop. It is very dangerous, especially since cars are usually speeding.

This area is seeing increased pedestrian activity, but also heavy traffic hours and therefore should be concerned for a safety study

In the past year a neighbor has opened two requests for a pedestrian safety study at this intersection. Each time they have stated that vehicles do not stop at the stop signs or yield to pedestrians. Each time the city has tried to close the request and said its an enforcement issue. Today for about an hour I watched a cop sit at Liberty and pull people over who didnt stop. The only time he wasnt actively pulling someone over/writing a ticket was when he was turning his car around to go back to his spot. In the hour, he ticketed 5 cars because he spent that much time with each vehicle. Watching this just confirmed that enforcement is not the solution. A real study and redesign is what is needed. The city ended the one way study before they could collect the appropriate data. Same goes for the round about study. After that, they gave us a design on paper that never materialized in real life. We were promised raised pedestrian island. We dont have them. We were promised "no truck" signs, we dont have them. We were promised heavy duty bollards. We dont have them. We were promised wider pedestrian islands, we dont have them. The one at this intersection is about 12 inches wide. A pedestrian simply can not fit in that width. The city was not able to correctly address this road. That should not be the reason the ignore the situation from now on. Our streets are still very dangerous for all users- drivers and pedestrians. We need help and real studies. Stops signs do not work at this intersection as long as traffic is allowed to go eastbound from Tonnelle Circle.

The plastic bollards at pavonia and Erie and McWilliams keep getting removed and people park there like they used to which is defeating the purpose

Curb extensions with bollards are needed at this intersection. Cars parked close to the stop sign have a low field of view of incoming pedestrians.

There is constantly accidents at this intersection. The resident has witnessed many people ignoring the stop signs and speeding through the intersection. People and dogs being hit, cars hitting other cars. A woman and her dog were hit this morning. It is a very dangerous intersection and a traffic light would be prudent.

Cars run this stop sign all the time. There are plenty of parents with children and strollers who walk to daycare and the cars just do not stop. Every intersection in this area is unsafe (warren and 2nd, warren and 1st, warren and bay, warren and Morgan). Cars tend to even speed up to go through the stop sign if they are you are walking towards the intersection and think they will have to stop for you

Add lights to pedestrian signs to cross Mallory ave at Williams ave. Cars do not obey yield signs and too many cars, fire trucks and police vehicles are double parked on Mallory at this intersection making it difficult for pedestrians to cross.
