  • Grand St & Marin Blvd Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown

Why was my previous request archived???

I was walking my baby in our stroller along with my dog and almost got hit by a car in this corner TWICE. Care turning off of grand street to Marin are super aggressive. I’ve also seen multiple people almost get hit here beside me, and know a biker was killed in this location.

This intersection is an issue because many people get off the highway and use this to cut through downtown. Either there is a red left turn signal and/or something, this intersection needs help.

  • 100-448 Hudson St Jersey City, NJ, 07311, USA - The Waterfront

Cars repeatedly go the wrong way on the way one portion of Hudson Street (North bound) between Hardborside Pl and Christopher Columbus Dr. The location is after pedestrians have crossed the Light Rail tracks when heading towards the entrance to the Harborside Building.

There should be additional signage when Hudson St splits into two one way streets to better direct drivers and perhaps pedestrian safety measures put in place.

I have seen cars going the wrong way three times within the past month.

  • Old Bergen Rd At Winfield Ave Jersey City, NJ 07305, USA - Greenville
The intersection of Winfield and Old Bergen Rd. desperately needs stop signs, a traffic signal, or a speed bump. Cars speed dangerously down Old Bergen Rd at all hours as the entire stretch from Merritt St to Bartholdi has no traffic signals, stop signs, speed bumps, etc. The Winfield intersection is particularly vulnerable as residents, including children and those with pets, trying to cross into or out of Columbia Park face very dangerous conditions. These conditions also include cars turning left on to Old Bergen Rd. from Bartholdi when those cars catch the green light. Knowing there's no stop sign or speed bump there, cars turn left on to Old Bergen Rd at or above the speed limit with low visibility. if you're a pedestrian crossing Old Bergen Rd those left-turning cars are an additional hazard that are not visible and can't be anticipated.
  • Bowers St & Summit Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
I have been almost hit by two different vehicles (and then verbally assaulted by the drivers) while walking along summit and crossing bowers with a walk signal (east side of the intersection). The drivers clearly believe they have the right of way at this intersection despite the walk signal. Can you install a Yield to Pedestrians sign or make the pedestrian right of way more obvious?
  • 665 Montgomery St Jersey City NJ 07306, United States - McGinley Square
Flex posts are broken at the corner of Montgomery and summit and the corner is constantly obstructed by the large truck belonging to a local gym It's a major visibility and safety issue A more permanent solution is needed to make this area safe i

94 Nelson Ave Jersey City 07307, United States - The Heights
Something needs to be done about the school parking issues on Irving St and Nelson Ave. Barriers were put in place and people just park next to them or run them over. I’ve been a resident of this area my entire life and it has gotten worse and worse. Parking Authority refuses to acknowledge the issue. It makes no sense that parents are dropping kids off and blocking crosswalks and corners where other children cross going to two other nearby schools. Please don’t allow someone’s kid getting run over or an accident be the reason this is finally remedied.
  • 55 Soho Dr Jersey City, NJ 07305, USA - West Side

They are speeding every night. And they also speed late at night waking us up from our sleep.

Second, the sport auto body shop on Mallory Ave and Pollock ave, they parkt their customer cars on the bicycle lane, and sometimes they even double parking on Mallory Ave. It blocks my sight when I am driving, especially when I make a turn. they park their customer cars everywhere on the street, giving the residents a hard time to find a parking at all times.

I think we need some signs such as quiet zone sign and permit parking for the area around Mallory Ave. the city must have come up with any law or rule about the auto shop that parks their customer cars on street all day and even overnight. that is affecting the residents' lives. or at least out permit parking sign around here so we can have parking when we get home from work or on our day off.

and please they are speeding everyday no matter it's day or night.

  • 354-356 6th St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
Stop sign needed at corner on brunswick street. Multiple accidents within last 2 years. Drivers expect a 2 way stop sign at this intersection.

231 Pacific Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07304, USA - Bergen-Lafayette
Can the people of Pacific Avenue get a stop sign at Bramhall to stop the speeding traffic and dangerous cars? There have been numerous accidents including several hit and runs because of speed and out-of-control vehicles. The city could make a fortune if they enforced the speed limit. We've asked for a speed bump but were told no because emergency vehicle use.
  • Central Ave & Ferry St Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
There needs to be a light at this turn onto Ferry St. Just this morning, multiple cars turned at a high speed from Central Ave onto Ferry St and one of them nearly hit a pedestrian. Central Ave along the park is dangerous to pedestrians, children, and dogs.
  • 479 Washington Blvd Jersey City, NJ 07310, USA - The Waterfront
Traffic heading south on Washington Bl and turning right (west) on 6th st/Thomas Gagnon. Cars routinely ignore pedestrians and just drive through. Other drivers make this into a two lane turn, refusing to wait and pull out and around a waiting car. It's the most scary intersection on Washington Blvd
  • 2nd St & Erie St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
Please consider adding a stop sign for north-bound traffic here. Cars rarely stop for pedestrians in the cross walk and since west-bound traffic has a stop sign, they often think the other car does as well. Cars will park very close to the cross walk meaning visibility is basically zero until you are in the intersection. I have personally almost been hit a few times walking and last night my uber driver almost got us killed.
