  • 8th St & Coles St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
Cars park at the pedestrian crossing lines on the intersection of Coles and 8th blocking the view for the kids who cross Coles going to the school in the morning Can you install those posts on each corner of the intersection please? .
  • 3rd St & Newark Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
Very common to see cars parked in the crosswalk at Newark and Third, in front of 292 Newark (Gussy's Cafe.) Can delineators or something be used to protect the crosswalk? This is right near PS 5
  • Brunswick St & Christopher Columbus Dr Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown

Corner of Brunswick and Columbus is dangerous because turning cars often whip around and cut the corner short even though there are two lanes for them to turn into.

We could use some delineators to better protect pedestrians and bicyclists at this location.

  • Bergen Ave & Montgomery St Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - McGinley Square

I really cannot comprehend why these are being placed here. It's astonishing how no thinking is being done before implementing something like this. Ever heard of parking meters with parking ? On each side of Montgomery parking space is being taking away for these useless polls. On top of that the parked cars can act as a shield for the bikes.

1st, where do people pull over when they want to stop by one of these stores ?

2nd, don’t you think putting this here is hurting the businesses and people will double park and cause traffic ?

3rd, you do realize this used to be parking right ?

4th, how long until people get fed up and just drive over it to park ?

5th, is the city engineer or the person in charge out their mind ? Do you not know how to utilize space will making bike lanes ?

  • Liberty Ave & Newark Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal Square
Can we please put up the barriers like photo 3 to prevent ignorant drivers from parking in the no parking spots Actual drivers cannot see pedestrians attempting to cross They had planters but business owners moved them and they disappeared Please stop allowing lawbreakers to make our pedestrians unsafe
  • Grace St & Summit Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
The white poles got ran over and broke. Needs replacement.
  • 1st St & Warren St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
Please add pedestrian crossing stripes to all 4 sides of this intersection (there is only 2 currently). Due to the construction at the opposite corner, people usually cross from the right hand side displayed in the photo. However, cars usually don't stop fully or ignore the stop signs altogether. There is a school right next to this intersection and the way it always feels dangerous.
  • 168 1st St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
The charging stations are rarely available to use in front of the Oakman. It's very frustrating the parking in front of the charging stations are occupied by non- electric vehicles. Kindly consider adding signage stating "Tow Away Zone- Plugged In Vehicles Only" would
alleviate the problem as well as green lines painted on the ground as they are in other places around the city. There actually used to be signs some months back but they were removed.
  • 2nd St & Washington Blvd Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - The Waterfront
Please restore the bollards. Cars are using this area for an illegal right turn on red.
  • 595 Newark Ave Jersey City 07306, United States - Journal Square
After a lot of construction the cross walk has faded away. Can you please repaint the cross walk stripes because cars just zoom by and it is hard to see the cross walks.
  • 1st St & Brunswick St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown

I was very nearly hit by a belligerent driver trying to make the green light on Columbus while in the crosswalk at the intersection of 1st and Brunswick.

The crosswalk is very faded and is definitely in need of repainting. But furthermore, this intersection should be studied for additional traffic calming measures to potentially include a speed bump, pedestrian crossing signals, roundabout, etc..

171-245 Hoboken Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Downtown
Along Hoboken Ave a Jersey Barrier has been installed from the bottom of the hill to Route 139. There are no openings to allow bikers to get on or off and it has blocked access for animals such as this skunk to get from one side of the hill to the other. Can at least one opening be created midway?
