  • Town Square Pl & Washington Blvd Jersey City, NJ, 07310, USA - The Waterfront
This intersection is especially dangerous in both directions for multiple reasons. We've come dangerously close to hitting pedestrians and being sideswiped by other drivers on numerous occasions. The pedestrian crossing from the mall to the PATH is on a diagonal, meaning that pedestrians cross along a very long area but with little respite in the median due to the large exhaust tower and tall grasses in the way; they're often walking along the curb or running out quickly in front of drivers since they have nowhere else to go. What's more is that there are cars stopping suddenly on both sides of the street to pickup/drop off passengers. Finally, the exhaust tower and grasses are super dangerous for driver sight lines when driving south, and for pedestrians attempting to cross from the median toward the mall. I go through this intersection very slowly and still have to frequently slam on my brakes or veer quickly into the other lane.
  • North St & Palisade Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
Cars do not yield to pedestrians in this crosswalk. Is it possible to get the flashings signs when someone is crossing?
  • Griffith St & Palisade Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
A Pedestrian Safety Study needs to be performed at this intersection. It is unsafe because cars turning from Griffith ignore or cannot see pedestrians in the crosswalks. More people are crossing here because the intersection is at the entrance of the park. Please consider more signage, lights, and/or expanding curbs at Griffith. Traffic needs to be slowed and drivers alerted to the number of people walking before there’s a major accident. Thank you for addressing this request.
  • 373 Monmouth St Jersey City 07302, United States - Downtown

The Monmouth Ave redesign added three parking spots instead of adding a loading zone. Now delivery trucks just double park blocking the right lane. This causes congestion and tons of noise from honking as cars make an unexpected lane merge from 2 down to 1.

Make those spots a loading zone.

  • Steuben St & Warren St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown

I am writing to address the high risk intersection of Steuben St and Warren St. As a frequent pedestrian at this location, I'm concerned about the safety, and accessibility for the large number of pedestrians that move through this intersection daily. I believe the following issues should be addressed:

    - Visibility is compromised by parked cars along Warren St, posing risks to pedestrians crossing the road.
    - High-speed vehicular traffic on Warren St further endangers pedestrians. I regularly see vehicles traveling at excessive speed in an attempt to make the yellow light on Columbus.

Given the need to improve safety while having a minimal impact on through traffic, I would like to propose the following solutions:

    - Implementation of a raised pedestrian crosswalk (speed table crosswalk) to slow down traffic and enhance pedestrian safety.
    - Consideration of appropriate warning signals, or stop signs.

I urge you to prioritize this matter and take decisive steps to improve pedestrian safety at this critical intersection.

Thank you for your attention to this important issue.

94 Nelson Ave Jersey City 07307, United States - The Heights
Something needs to be done about the school parking issues on Irving St and Nelson Ave. Barriers were put in place and people just park next to them or run them over. I’ve been a resident of this area my entire life and it has gotten worse and worse. Parking Authority refuses to acknowledge the issue. It makes no sense that parents are dropping kids off and blocking crosswalks and corners where other children cross going to two other nearby schools. Please don’t allow someone’s kid getting run over or an accident be the reason this is finally remedied.
  • Ege Ave & Mallory Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07304, USA - West Side
The intersection of Mallory and Ege needs better care for both pedestrians and cars coming out of ege onto mallory. Poor visibility from cars exiting ege and turning either left or right threatens pedestrian, cyclist and drivers safety. Corner of Ege and Mallory is visually blocked most of the day and the evening. Many requests have been made but City Traffic & Engineering folks must not be doing their studies from 8am-10am 12-3pm or 4-6pm because thats when traffic is at its worst. Pls see a solution put in place for this. TY

350 Warren St Jersey City 07302, United States - Downtown
Cars race down Warren Street without stopping for pedestrians, almost hit pedestrians and dogs. This is a major problem along Warren from 2nd Street to Columbus. Please consider stop signs, flashing pedestrian lights, or speed bumps.
  • 3rd St & Brunswick St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
All of the corners at this intersection were redone but with no safety improvements. Loading zones and curb extensions are needed to protect the pedestrian right of way. Also note that this is a school corner (PS5) at pickup time.
  • Hague St & Nelson Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
Would request to add 4 way stop sign. Heavy traffic and school zone. Always blind spot from Hague St direction.
  • 2 Journal Square Plaza Jersey City NJ 07306, United States - Journal Square
This is a request for this parking garage for their entrance on cottage as well as the entrance on JFK. The main image is for the entrance on cottage. The curb cut extends from well past the first white car all the way to where the second white car is parked. There is no indication (paint or signs) cars parked right up to the driveway entrance and vehicles entering the lot on cottage drive at an extremely high rate of speed, turning onto the sidewalk without being able to see if pedestrians are using the sidewalk. On JFK the entrance and exit for the garage is incredibly wid and visually incorporated into the sidewalk. The exit behind pedestrians waiting to cross to the path station is in line with the red bumps for the crosswalk. I can not tell you how many close calls I have seen with drivers speeding to make the light here. I appreciate that it may not be feasible to ask the garage to narrow but as the city looks to update Cottage Ave something including paint and signs and maybe speed bumps on the immediate approach to the driveway would be helpful This may seem like a quiet dead end street but it is not because cars and pedestrians all use Herbert place as a cut through and it's very busy. Thank you.b.e
