Pedestrian Safety Study RequestRiconosciutoPacific Ave At Bramhall Ave Jersey City, NJ 07304, USA - Bergen-LafayetteFrom Caven Point to Communipaw traffic is often very fast and dangerous. Not only do cars fail to stop at the crosswalk, but at least 2 yield to pedestrians signs have been smashed. Moreover, several parked cars have been sideswiped and totaled by speeding cars. We need a traffic light or 4-way stop at Pacific and Bramwell to protect the pedestrian crossing and to slow traffic.

Traffic/Pedestrian Safety Study RequestsRiconosciuto2nd St & Warren St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - DowntownAt this crossword, there are stop signs for cars but they routinely ignore it. Additionally, the street doesn’t have lane delineations and is wide, so even if a car does stop for a pedestrian, other cars swerve and go around it without realizing there is a crosswalk.

Traffic/Pedestrian Safety Study RequestsRiconosciuto92 Christopher Columbus Dr Jersey City 07302, United States - DowntownTurning right on Marin while going west on Christopher Columbus is a nightmare. The pedestrian crossing is on and there are traffic trying to get on Marin from both sides of Christopher Columbus. Either have a dedicated right turn signal or dedicated pedestrian crossing signal. There is ton of foot traffic and it’s unsafe for pedestrians and drivers.

Traffic/Pedestrian Safety Study RequestsRiconosciutoChristopher Columbus Dr & Jersey Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - DowntownFor driving south on Jersey Avenue at the Christopher Columbus Drive intersection, there is a desperate need for a left turn traffic light. There is a day care at 532 Jersey Avenue so there are a lot of parents dropping off their children on Jersey Avenue. And Jersey Avenue is a very busy road. When drivers are going south on Jersey Avenue and want to turn left on Christopher Columbus Drive there are too many cars going straight from the opposite direction (driving north on Jersey Avenue) so the drivers trying to turn left are stuck and usually have to try to force their way in. This is very dangerous and I have already seen numerous almost accidents. And, often times there are parents and children crossing Christopher Columbus Drive that almost get hit because the driver on Jersey Avenue trying to turn left is trying to rush to make it before the next car going straight reaches them. It is a very dangerous intersection and I think it needs a left turn signal.

Traffic/Pedestrian Safety Study RequestsRiconosciutoErie St & Pavonia Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
Hi - I am a longtime resident and mom living in Hamilton Park. I’d like to request that the corner of Erie and Pavonia (but really all corners around Cordero) receive the white parking towers that prevent people from parking in the crosswalks.
Two weeks ago after checking repeatedly, a woman who was parked very close to the crosswalk in the location attached hit me and my 6 week old son who was in his bassinet. Last week, I saw it happen again to someone else.
Both times happened after normal school hours, but during Casper after care. I believe installing the white parking towers would prevent possible tragedy by giving a buffer between parked cars and pedestrians. They’re in many other locations in our neighborhood and it seems that surrounding the school should be a priority.
That specific crosswalk does not even have pedestrian signage. Just the crosswalk.
Thank you.

Pedestrian Safety Study RequestRiconosciuto207 Van Vorst St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - DowntownWhen the building permits for the Lenox and the Maddox were issued by the city (circa 2016), the neighbors in house nearby requested a traffic study on Van Vorst for the increased vehicles. It's now 2022 and no changes have been made to the flow of vehicle traffic on Van Vorst (between Sussex and Morris Street. There is currently parking on both side of the street and two-way traffic. There isn’t room for 4 cars on Van Vorst and it's worse when there are larger delivery and food trucks parked at the intersection. Cars frequently cannot turn onto the street and are forced to back up into traffic. Visibility turning onto Morris is poor which creates dangerous conditions for pedestrians. The street can support only three cars, so either it should be turned into a one-way street or parking eliminated from one side.

Pedestrian Safety Study RequestRiconosciuto91 Booraem Ave Jersey City 07307, United States - The HeightsOn intersection of Abbett and Booraem, there’s not enough streetlight and there’s no stop sign. With the parked cars on both sides on the street on Booraem, cars can’t see when someone is trying cross from Booraem to Abbett or vice versa. Can you please look into this and place lighting and a stop sign here?
