18th St & Marin Blvd Jersey City, NJ, 07310, USA - DowntownThe corner of 18th and Marin is extremely dangerous for pedestrians with drivers rushing to get into Hoboken. While there is a green arrow for drivers going south and turning east, there is none for those going east and turning north, and those drivers blow through the red light to beat the westbound traffic.

Bergen Ave & Montgomery St Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - McGinley SquareNot sure if this the right topic, but this intersection is a huge problem! Cars constantly go straight in the left turn only lane, causing traffic jams and accidents. Need assistance here.
-
Liberty Ave & Newark Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal SquareIt is very dangerous to cross at Newark and Liberty. Cars are always parked up against the crosswalks and double parking. There is literally ALWAYS a truck parked inside the crosswalk. This forces pedestrians into the travel lane to see if there is on coming traffic and making it difficult for drivers to see pedestrians

Parking issuesADIは、Grand St & Washington St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - The WaterfrontMy children are bussed from PS 16 to Danforth. I am becoming increasingly concerned with the lack of a safe area for the numerous buses to pull over on Grand and Washington. Every morning and afternoon the buses gridlock the street, and create major traffic because there is not adequate parking for the 6 plus buses that are needed to facilitate getting these spillover children to their Danforth school. Children are forced to walk into the street to get to their double parked buses- it's an accident waiting to happen. How do we go about removing residential street parking on Washington Street from Grand to Sussex to help with this issue? If you stop allowing residents to park on Washington in front os PS 16, it will greatly expedite the bus situation and make things MUCH safer for pedestrians and drivers in that area.

Evertrust Plz & Montgomery St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
Today (3/11) morning at 8.30 am I was about to witness a tragedy. A group of school kids were were waiting to cross with their parents in front of 270 Marin Blvd, Jersey City, 07302. Shown with #1 in image. There is walk sign shown in #2, but car drivers never obey it. A little girl from the group ran forward to spot#3 in image and car came speeding from direction of #4 arrow and the girl almost hit the car. This is very dangerous crossing where a tragic accident is waiting to happen. Last month I witnessed a car accident at the same spot when a car exiting 270 Marin Blvd was hit by another car coming from direction of #4 arrow.
There is street parking very close to crossing as shown in #5 in image. People waiting for crossing at spot#1 can't see car without going dangerously close to spot#3 and car drivers can't see people and don't slow down to obey crossing sign. Please take care of the situation.
Some suggestions -
1. Remove parking spot shown in #5 in image so that there is more visibility
2. Install flashing walk sign much before spot #2 so that car drivers have time spot it and slow down
3. Paint signs on road or install speed hump -
Christopher Columbus Dr & Jersey Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - DowntownFor driving south on Jersey Avenue at the Christopher Columbus Drive intersection, there is a desperate need for a left turn traffic light. There is a day care at 532 Jersey Avenue so there are a lot of parents dropping off their children on Jersey Avenue. And Jersey Avenue is a very busy road. When drivers are going south on Jersey Avenue and want to turn left on Christopher Columbus Drive there are too many cars going straight from the opposite direction (driving north on Jersey Avenue) so the drivers trying to turn left are stuck and usually have to try to force their way in. This is very dangerous and I have already seen numerous almost accidents. And, often times there are parents and children crossing Christopher Columbus Drive that almost get hit because the driver on Jersey Avenue trying to turn left is trying to rush to make it before the next car going straight reaches them. It is a very dangerous intersection and I think it needs a left turn signal.

Ferry St & Palisade Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The HeightsEven with the pedestrian signs drivers do not slow down. When you cross the street that yell at pedestrians like we are in the wrong crossing when we have the right away and it is state law. Also, very often someone is parking on the crosswalk right in from of Lofi making it unsafe to cross. Please but protectors on the crosswalk and also put a pedestrian sign in the middle of the road too so slow down motorists and let pedestrians go.
-
Magnolia Ave & Tonnelle Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal Squarethere needs to be some sort of pedestrian precautions on this corner cars speed through here and when you try to cross they yell and curse you out this area is horrid
-
Baldwin Ave & Fleet St Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - The HeightsDrivers consistently park their vehicles too close to the crosswalk at Fleet St and Baldwin. Please install curb extensions to prevent this behavior and enhance pedestrian safety.

2nd St & Erie St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - DowntownPlease consider adding a stop sign on Erie Street at 2nd Street, along with daylighting on Erie street at this intersection. Each stop along Erie from 1st to 12th street is controlled either via stop sign or traffic light, except for this intersection. Drivers will occasionally come to a stop while traveling along Erie street at this intersection as it is due to extremely limited visibility. Visibility is limited by cars parking on the eastern and western sides of Erie street up to the 2nd street crosswalk, and by a large tree and a power pole on the eastern side of Erie street just south of the 2nd Street intersection. In its current form, drivers and bikers along Erie Street cannot see pedestrians in the 2nd Street crosswalk until the pedestrians have already entered the roadway, pedestrians cannot see traffic on Erie Street at this intersection until they enter the roadway, and vehicles and bikes traveling west along 2nd Street must drive past their stop sign and pull onto Erie Street in order to visualize vehicles and bikes that may be traveling towards them along Erie Street.

1st St & Newark Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - DowntownThis area needs curb extensions and loading zones. It’s unsafe for pedestrians because there’s nowhere for deliveries to be made.

Brunswick St & Newark Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - DowntownBollards and corner expansion requested for Brunswick and Newark. Cars make a right turn off Newark at a rapid speed. Many children cross at this corner for PS5.
