6th St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
Ugh, this pains me to request because this stop sign has been here for decaaaades, but I think the time has come to replace it. The word "stop" is barely readable, it's got other stickers on it, and the post is bent which makes the sign face away from the road. (The Do Not Enter on the opposite side doesn't help the issue - the octagon shape is obscured.) I'm torn between my love for this sign and my life, which flashed before my eyes today when I was nearly flattened by a car that clearrrrrr-ly wasn't planning on stopping. Looked left, car at Wells Fargo ... I step out into the road, car right on top of me.
Can the sign get fixed? Post twisted back to the road and, at the very least, have the "STOP" letters re-applied in bright white?
