  • Freeman Ave & Logan Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal Square

This issue is a continuation of Issue ID: 12655350, which was prematurely closed by "Traffic – Jean W"

The issue was regarding Logan ave. There is no stop line on Logan Ave, where it intersects Freeman Ave. Can you please add a half length stop line on Logan Ave.

  • Ferry St & Palisade Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
The #87 NJ Transit bus has a very difficult time turning left onto Palisade Ave from Ferry st. There is only a stop sign for Ferry St but no sign or lights for Palisade. The bus has to pull out into active traffic to try to turn - but no one stops for the bus on Palisade and will go around the bus even when its pulled out into the intersection. It also cannot turn easily due to cars parked in front of Lo-Fi. Palisade Ave needs a light or stop line further back so the bus can turn or for parking to be removed
  • 26 Weldon St Jersey City 07306, United States - Journal Square

    The striping is

    (1) insufficient/dated/not up to modern safety recommendations w only two straight lines and no other stripes
    (2) in the wrong place. The curbs were redone but are now closer to the stop line for cars. The crosswalk is now MORE dangerous than before the work.

The lines must be repainted to be aligned w the curb ramp and allow proper buffer from traffic stop line.

280 Marin Blvd Jersey City 07302, United States - Downtown
Can someone please advise who ever decided to redo the traffic pattern on Marin and Columbus that’s not working. It’s horrible!!! Maybe put a traffic cop at the intersection to direct traffic or even have then patrol the area similar to the airport to keep cars from double parking.

  • Lightingオープン
John F Kennedy Blvd & Journal Sq Jersey City, New Jersey, 07306 - Journal Square
The Kushner tower contractor removed most of the decorative globe street lamps along the east side of Bergen Ave. & JFK Boulevard.
There are only two working lights on the south end of the pedestrian path near Sip Ave. Otherwise, there is no direct illumination of the pedestrian path.
Because of the traffic barriers along the side of the path, the streetlights in the medium divider are inadequate to light the pedestrian path along the east side of the construction site.
The Kushner contractor must be compelled to install adequate lighting along the entire path, from Sip Ave. to the Journal Square PATH station.

  • 498 8th Street Jersey City, NJ 07302, United States of America - Downtown
It's a little dark on 8th street by Enid Jones Park. I don't think there are any lights installed here and the NJ Turnpike lights have been out for a while.
