Pedestrian Safety Study RequestReconhecido290–304 Grove St Jersey City NJ 07302, United States - DowntownRestaurant street seating on Grove is making it challenging and unsafe for drivers and pedestrians These small huts make it challenging to see the stop signs or pedestrians trying to cross at the crosswalk More importantly these little hut like structures make it impossible for drivers to pull over and allow ambulances or police to pass Now that the pandemic sanctions are lifted can the city please remove these for safety concerns More cars are out and about as well as people since COVID restrictions are lifted which makes this more dangerous Please look into this ASAP Much Appreciated

This CitiBike driver thought that it would be OK for him to drive over the parking bollards that protect pedestrians at the corner and park there while he played with his cellphone.
Considering that our tax dollars have to pay for these to be replaced, it's appropriate that CitiBike should pay for that.

216 Bowers St Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The HeightsThis is the second time I've put in for this, but the intersection of Bowers and Milton NEEDS a stop sign! You disregarded it before but it is clearly a safety concern. I just watched a guy almost hit a woman crossing. I yelled at him that she had the right of way and he flipped me off. So of this not to mention how impossible it is to turn onto Bowers without pulling halfway into the intersection. It is so dangerous, and for what? To continue to leave this intersection without a stop sign is not only irresponsible, but shows how little Jersey City cares for pedestrians.

Pedestrian Safety Study RequestReconhecido340 Newark Ave Jersey City, NJ 07302, USA - DowntownThe intersection of Newark, 5th and Merseles is a tragedy waiting to happen during morning rush hour as kids are crossing on the way to PS5. There is no stop sign, traffic light to protect pedestrians in the crosswalk. Drivers ignore the flashing crossing lights and turn a 2 lane road into 4 as the cross the median and pass vehicles on the right OR LEFT to get by the cars that DO stop for pedestrians. They also ignore the crossing guard (who has been absent the past week). The 25mph speed limit is ignored as people are doing 40. In the few weeks school has been open, there have been close calls even when the crossing guard is there holding up a stop sign. The construction at the intersection also limits sidewalk space.
