  • Monticello Ave & Communipaw Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07304, USA - Bergen-Lafayette
At this intersection, I'm requesting if it's possible to make all left turns delayed with ample timing. In morning rush hours, the left
turn lane signal turns from green to red too quick as well as vehicles using left lane to go straight so not to wait in traffic.
    Communipaw and Monticello Ave location.
  • Marin Blvd & Morgan St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown

Traffic on Columbus and Marin is a headache and a hazard during rush hour and now with all the construction on Marin its becoming a nightmare.

    Have you thought about
    1. directing cars coming onto Morgan street between Marin and Newark to Newark Avenue
    2. directing cars coming onto Morgan street between Marin and Warren to Warren Street.
    3. By doing this you can remove the light on Marin/Morgan which will eliminate the backup on Columbus

    just a thought

  • Arlington Ave & Harmon St Jersey City, NJ, 07304, USA - Bergen-Lafayette
Cars do not stop at the crosswalk for pedestrians at the corner of Arlington Ave. and Harmon St. The stop sign is hidden and not visible.
  • Central Ave & Hopkins Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - The Heights
During an afternoon walk, I witnessed the aftermath of a terrible accident that occurred on the corner of Central and Hopkins Avenue. Where you see the orange in the picture is where the victim was on the ground badly hurt. Her lower left leg had been sheared to the bone from the ankle up to the knee on the inside. It was horrible and she lost so much blood. I hope she is ok. I think she was taken to Jersey City Medical.
In the meantime, I have to tell you that this intersection is very unsafe. There is a school across the street and usually a school crossing guard. It needs a TRAFFIC LIGHT. Please do something. I don't know that a traffic light would have helped this woman, but I don't know that it wouldn't have either. This is a terrible situation.
  • Abbett St & Booraem Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
On intersection of Abbett and Booraem, there’s not enough streetlight and there’s no stop sign. With the parked cars on both sides on the street on Booraem, cars can’t see when someone is trying cross from Booraem to Abbett or vice versa. Can you please look into this and place lighting and a stop sign here?
  • Evertrust Plz & Montgomery St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown

Today (3/11) morning at 8.30 am I was about to witness a tragedy. A group of school kids were were waiting to cross with their parents in front of 270 Marin Blvd, Jersey City, 07302. Shown with #1 in image. There is walk sign shown in #2, but car drivers never obey it. A little girl from the group ran forward to spot#3 in image and car came speeding from direction of #4 arrow and the girl almost hit the car. This is very dangerous crossing where a tragic accident is waiting to happen. Last month I witnessed a car accident at the same spot when a car exiting 270 Marin Blvd was hit by another car coming from direction of #4 arrow.

There is street parking very close to crossing as shown in #5 in image. People waiting for crossing at spot#1 can't see car without going dangerously close to spot#3 and car drivers can't see people and don't slow down to obey crossing sign. Please take care of the situation.

    Some suggestions -
    1. Remove parking spot shown in #5 in image so that there is more visibility
    2. Install flashing walk sign much before spot #2 so that car drivers have time spot it and slow down
    3. Paint signs on road or install speed hump

  • Palisade Ave & Paterson Plank Rd Union City, NJ, 07087, USA - The Heights
The signaling was recently redone on the corner of Paterson Plank Rd and Palisade Ave. Not only does there seem to be more car congestion and haphazard turning than before, but now pedestrians must wait for two complete traffic cycles to cross (which I just timed at 5:30pm to be approximately 4 minutes). This is leading to large groups of pedestrians waiting on these small, unsafe corners. The signaling is now a pedestrian all way, which while a great idea, only gives pedestrians about 16 seconds to cross. A few days ago I saw an elderly woman unable to make the full crossing of both streets in that amount of time. So, she waited, which means it took her nearly 9 minutes to traverse a single intersection. This is seriously negatively impacting the most vulnerable street users and completely disincentivizes pedestrian traffic. Please fix this—pedestrians should have the same priority as cars and be able to go after both ways of traffic go.
  • 1st St & Erie St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown

Need daylighting/curb extensions at every corner, but especially those with businesses on them. Delivery drivers and people doing pickup treat the crosswalk as a loading zone.

Maybe just put actual loading zones around too.

  • Arlington Ave & Grand St Jersey City, NJ, 07304, USA - Bergen-Lafayette
Very dangerous intersection with cars coming from Grand, Arlington, and Harmon. No one stops for pedestrians. Right across from Arlington Park so kids trying to cross, which makes it extra concerning how dangerous it is.
  • Newark Ave & Summit Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal Square
The pedestrian cross light at Newark and Summit Ave (crossing from one side of Newark Ave, in front of the library, to the other side) takes a very long time to change. As a result, most pedestrians don’t wait. I strongly suggest that this light is fixed to make it pedestrian friendly and/or that a crosswalk is added here.
  • Academy St & Baldwin Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Journal Square
Hello, this intersection is extremely hectic during rush hour. Cars are consistently attempting to beat the short turning signals so it's difficult to cross the street without multiple cars honking horns for pedestrians to get out of the way. I'm reporting this intersection in an effort to prevent anyone from getting seriously hurt.
  • 26-32 Newport Pkwy Jersey City, NJ, 07310, USA - The Waterfront
The city really needs to do a traffic safety study at this location The crosswalks on Newport Parkway just east of Washington boulevard are very dangerous Cars fly through here and do not stop for pedestrians in the cross walk It's been requested months ago, but the city hasn't done a thing Someone is going to get hurt or killed Let's address this issue
