  • 854 Jersey Ave Jersey City, New Jersey, 07310 - Downtown
Requesting redesign of striping on north side of intersection at Jersey Ave and 18th street to allow large trucks like in photo to safely make turn without running over pedestrian safety elements like bollards and endangering those in bike lane Had I been waiting at white line ahead, I would have been run over by this truck who cut the corner That or install hardened infrastructure to actually protect pedestrians a evidenced by plastic bollard that was run over and another that has been destroyed completely
  • Baldwin Ave & Hopkins Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - The Heights
Baldwin Ave at Hopkins Ave sees near constant parking in the crosswalk and on sidewalks. We need curb extensions and bollards to keep drivers from blocking pedestrian right of way and sightlines.
  • Communipaw Ave & Pine St Jersey City, NJ, 07304, USA - Bergen-Lafayette
This is a completely blind turn onto communipaw in both directions from Pine st Cars are constantly parked in the yellow causing extremely concerning blind spots There needs to be either a light or a stop sign in all directions This will help with both traffic safety and pedestrian safety
  • Griffith St & Webster Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
This intersection has no pedestrian walk signal
  • 2nd St & Newark Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
Extremely dangerous intersection. The short block is causing drivers to make a dangerous start turn and speed on 2nd Street when coming off Newark Ave. This is a disaster in the making. Please address soon!
  • Johnston Ave & Monitor St Jersey City, NJ, 07304, USA - Bergen-Lafayette
Intersection of Johnston Avenue and monitor street. There’s no visibility for cars approaching from monitor street onto johnston avenue(because of all the parked cars), and no stop signs along Johnstoon Ave., so cars have to YOLO on johnston avenue, almost getting hit by other cars, all while causing horns going off 24/7 creating noise pollution for us residents. This is a heavy pedestrian(especially kids)/car traffic street, so I have no idea why there isn’t stop signs along this intersection.
  • Belmont Ave & Monticello Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07304, USA - McGinley Square
The traffic light at Belmont and Monticello needs to a sign that says “No turn on red during school hours (8-9am, 2-3pm).” Last week in the morning, the crossing guard was crossing a group of kids and someone turned into the crosswalk while the kids and crossing guard were in the middle of the street. This is not uncommon and it’s only a matter of time before someone gets hit by a car. Also requesting traffic enforcement for the morning hours for the first few weeks after the sign is installed.
  • 161 Van Wagenen Ave Jersey City, New Jersey, 07306 - Journal Square
This pertains to the pedestrian bridge over the PATH between Newark and Broadway at Senate Place. There are now two holes rusted through the metal surface of the bridge. The amount of salt that has been used this winter probably speeded up the corrosion. Please alert whoever maintains the bridge to check it out. Thanks.
  • Sussex St & Van Vorst St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
Stop sign request. Can Stop signs be added on Van Vorst St at Sussex? Cars and trucks fly through this area where there is currently a daycare, kids from school and residents walking. It's becoming increasingly dangerous with the speed cars and trucks are going in both direction on this portion of the street
  • North St & Sherman Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
With the new stop signs on Congress St, North St by Washington Park has become the main thoroughfare for traffic and no one stops for pedestrians. This can be especially unsafe crossing into the park which many people do. Requesting stop signs along North st intersections to alleviate this concern and ideally shuffle traffic back to Congress st.
  • Hutton St & Sherman Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
This is the corner of a school and car continue to run the stop sign, or back up into a closed street (closed on the side of Franklin because of the school) . I have personally almost been hit with my child 4 times this year. This morning the woman didnt even stop we ran out of the way.
This is insane and has only become more of the norm here.
  • 7th St & Monmouth St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
Flex posts don’t do anything. Cars just drive right over them and block the crosswalk. Put real curbs in for extensions.
