There are TWO streetlight fixtures on this pole.

The one on the long arm doesn't light at night.

The one mounted at the pole cycles on and off at night.

The SeeClickFix menu does not allow reporting ANY Lighting concern.

This is the message you get:

"Organization does not accept requests for this category. Please see any additional details below."

Then listed below is the web address for the PSE&G Streetlight Outages web page. No contact information for Jersey City is offered.

There is NO WAY to alert Jersey City of lighting problems at pedestrian walkways around construction sites, streetlights that have been removed, or streetlights that are needed.

In December, after SeeClickFix stopped accepting streetlighting issues, I reported a lighting problem in the pedestrian walkway next to the 10 Journal Square construction site as a Sidewalk Defect:
    https://seeclickfix.com/issues/15706865
This landed in the RRC and went nowhere for 6 weeks until Althea acknowledged it

    Here are three more examples:

The new block of Central Ave. between Hoboken and Newark has NO street lighting. Three new streetlights were installed 3 years ago. As a result of the construction at 626 Newark, PSE&G removed two poles and the 3rd is not lit at night.

Pole #69392 at 620 Pavonia Ave. used to have a streetlight that illuminated the mid-block pedestrian crossing. It was evidently removed as part of the construction in the area and/or PSE&G work.

Pole # 62389 at 332 Baldwin Ave. near Washburn St. needs a new streetlight to be installed.. The only other light is at the other end of the block near Court House Pl.

HOW CAN ISSUES LIKE THESE BE REPORTED ?

SeeClickFix needs to modify the menu for lighting to add these options.

one of the connectors of EV chargers owned by the city in Berry Lane park is completely busted preventing it from getting a car charged. I couldn't find any appropriate category to report this. I would appreciate it if this could be transferred to appropriate department or let me know who/how I should contact.

1-199 Mountain Rd Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
We need lights on Mountain Rd. I have posted in the past about how this area is a magnet for illicit activity since it is dark, unpaved and overgrown. I have encountered drug use, public urination & defication as well as people engaged in sexual activity. You name it, it goes on back here. It is unsettling and unacceptable. Maybe now that the mayor lives on the block we can get some attention to this problem? It does not seem right that you can have an address on a street but no way to get simple safety measures put in place like a streetlight. The only light back here comes from floodlights that owners pay for out of their own pockets. Please give this matter the attention it deserves.

Request for Installation of Public Street Lighting for Safety - Vicinity of 193 Fairmount Ave and 48 Jewett Ave

I am writing to @#$% where I can formally request the installation of public street lighting on the dead-end street that runs between 193 Fairmount Ave and 48 Jewett Ave. This unnamed public thoroughfare provides the sole access to the driveway and properties located along it, including mine
    .
Currently, there are no public lights installed on this street section. This lack of illumination creates a significant safety hazard for residents. We are particularly concerned about walking with family, especially children, after dark due to the extreme darkness and limited visibility.

The installation of one or more streetlights would greatly improve pedestrian safety and security for all residents who use this public accessway
    .
I appreciate your consideration of this urgent public safety matter and look forward to hearing about the necessary steps for light installation.roado be jnstalled installforrequesttolocatedpropertyarnear 1etweenstreetanddeadplacerancebackThe

Unsure of category, but for pedestrian safety, there should be lighting under this overpass between 16th and 18th street on both sides
