Request for bollards to separate the road from the bike lane/sidewalk at Washington Blvd in front of Chipotle.

There is a constant presence of vehicles stopped or parked in the crosswalk/bike lane here. This is dangerous as it forces bikes into the street or the sidewalk, reduces visibility of pedestrians for cars, and increases points of conflict for cars, pedestrians, and bikes.

There should be a physical barrier to prevent these cars from parking here while still allowing pedestrians through, since there doesn't seem to be any enforcement of parking rules here.

  • 85 Merseles St Jersey City NJ 07302, United States - Downtown
Cars driving in the BIKE lane making right turns VERY DANGEROUS. Please fix or add cones so cars don’t drive in the bike lane to make right turn onto Montgomery ! This has been reported prior and haven't accidents have occurred .!

Can something be implemented or installed at the top of the hill to stop mopeds and e-bikes constantly going down this hill.
    Barriers would be great.

Dangerous intersection - could we implement a stop sign?
  • 9th St & Manila Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
We need traffic lights here, with an exclusive pedestrian green light. I pass through this intersection on a daily basis both as a pedestrian and as a driver - it is scary! Coming from 9th St onto Manila Ave, the visibility is limited for drivers and there are 3 pedestrian crosswalks to keep track of. There are several schools in the immediate vicinity: Cordero, Scandi, HPMS.

Picture attached show la vehicle totaled after driver crossed double yellow as explained above
  • Bowers St & Palisade Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights

I’m writing as a pedestrian concerned about the safety at the intersection of Palisade Avenue and Bowers Street in Jersey City.

This morning, I experienced a close call where a car turning on green nearly hit me while I was crossing legally with the “Walk” signal.

I’ve observed that this intersection does not currently have a Leading Pedestrian Interval (LPI), and cars often turn without yielding to pedestrians.

I respectfully request that the city consider adding an LPI phase to improve safety at this crossing.

Thank you for your attention and efforts to make Jersey City safer for all road users.

    Best regards,
    Concerned resident

  • Lafayette St & Whiton St Jersey City, NJ, 07304, USA - Bergen-Lafayette
We desperately need a stop sign on Lafayette where it crosses Whiton. Cars speed down Lafayette from Pacific. Bad accident happened Saturday night. Please install asap

Cars are frequently parked on the sidewalk, completely obstructing the path. At the curve where the sidewalk narrows, this forces pedestrians into the street day after day. Today, while pushing a stroller with a baby, we had to wait for traffic to clear, and the driver who had parked on the sidewalk became aggressive when we politely asked them not to block the path. I understand that there is a site entrance there, but this is one of the few accesses from downtown to the Heights. Can a removable barrier be placed?
