  • Saint Pauls Ave & Skillman Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - Journal Square
it is impossible to cross here in the morning. No one stops at the RFP as cars and large trucks race through the intersection to get to the light. There are also a ton of cars turning onto and off of Skillman due to the massive parking garage for the building on JFK, the parking lot for the school, and the large surface lot at the dead end of skillman. The city needs to install a four way stop here like they did at liberty.
  • Bramhall Ave & Halladay St Jersey City, NJ, 07304, USA - Bergen-Lafayette
Bramhall turned to a 1 Way Street due to excessive traffic and narrow street
  • Baldwin Ave & Hopkins Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - The Heights
Baldwin Ave at Hopkins Ave sees near constant parking in the crosswalk and on sidewalks. We need curb extensions and bollards to keep drivers from blocking pedestrian right of way and sightlines.
  • Bergen Ave & Fairmount Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - McGinley Square
This intersection is very dangerous for pedestrians. Constant illegal parking, including in crosswalks, reduces visibility and drivers frequently run red lights. Misaligned nature of the intersection means drivers often get stuck in intersection on red and speed through crosswalks. Drivers turning from the one-way section of Fairmount in particular cannot see pedestrians well nor can pedestrians see them well.
  • 1st St & Monmouth St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
Need a stop sign or stop light installed at this intersection urgently. It has been 3 years without a solution. Escalation is now warranted. This is a dangerous intersection, no stop sign or stop light for pedestrians. Cars speed through it. Many residents have had close calls.
  • Boland St & Montgomery St Jersey City, NJ, 07306, USA - McGinley Square
This crosswalk needs to be more obvious, it is a brick crosswalk with 2 little signs on the sides that no one ever notices, crossing here is a disaster and with the way people speed down this block I’m worried someone will get hit, especially at night. I’d suggest painting it and adding flashing crosswalk signs so people will pay attention to crossing pedestrians
  • Griffith St & Webster Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
This intersection has no pedestrian walk signal
  • Astor Pl & Crescent Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07304, USA - McGinley Square
A constituent called to report that this intersection has become a danger zone for pedestrians as cars speed through the street, even with speed humps already placed.
  • North St & Sherman Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
With the new stop signs on Congress St, North St by Washington Park has become the main thoroughfare for traffic and no one stops for pedestrians. This can be especially unsafe crossing into the park which many people do. Requesting stop signs along North st intersections to alleviate this concern and ideally shuffle traffic back to Congress st.
  • 2nd St & Newark Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
Extremely dangerous intersection. The short block is causing drivers to make a dangerous start turn and speed on 2nd Street when coming off Newark Ave. This is a disaster in the making. Please address soon!
  • Johnston Ave & Monitor St Jersey City, NJ, 07304, USA - Bergen-Lafayette
Intersection of Johnston Avenue and monitor street. There’s no visibility for cars approaching from monitor street onto johnston avenue(because of all the parked cars), and no stop signs along Johnstoon Ave., so cars have to YOLO on johnston avenue, almost getting hit by other cars, all while causing horns going off 24/7 creating noise pollution for us residents. This is a heavy pedestrian(especially kids)/car traffic street, so I have no idea why there isn’t stop signs along this intersection.
  • Hutton St & Sherman Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
This is the corner of a school and car continue to run the stop sign, or back up into a closed street (closed on the side of Franklin because of the school) . I have personally almost been hit with my child 4 times this year. This morning the woman didnt even stop we ran out of the way.
This is insane and has only become more of the norm here.
