  • 499 Washington Blvd Jersey City, NJ, 07310, USA - The Waterfront
The area along Washington Blvd directly in front of the building is a fire lane with a yellow curb intended for emergency use and loading/unloading, however cars are parking here on a daily basis. The signs that are posted only note not to park in the bike lane. See attached photos for reference. Is there a way to have these signs updated to No standing Fire Lane Loading and Unloading Only or something of this in nature? The JCFD has presented this as concern when they have been on site because if there was an emergency, there would be no place for them to park their trucks. In addition this becomes a hazard for bikers, as cars pull into the bike lane where the loading area is full of cars.

    2) NOT Reserved Parking. Please remove unnecessary sign advertising for parking not available on the street.
  • 8th St & Jersey Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown

A very big truck just rammed against the stop sign at the intersection of Jersey and 8th and knocked off the post holding the stop sign and the street signs. I was about to take a photo of the street signs and while I was about to fetch my phone from inside my house, they were gone from the sidewalk.

A car (a white Toyota RAV4) is illegally parked at the Southwestern corner of 8th and Jersey. Potentially the truck had difficulty turning due to that car, which is why this happened.

  • 43 Provost St Jersey City, New Jersey, 07302 - Downtown

    1. Remove ONE-WAY signs.
    2. Rotate the west side parking signs to face correct, south direction.

Original request from October 2023 was never addressed.

Put back the no left turn for tractor trailers. They’re always trying to turn left, get stuck, cause a back up on first and reverse blindly
  • 281 Ogden Ave Jersey City, New Jersey, 07307 - The Heights
Would it be possible to put "children playing" signs on the streets by Riverview Park on Griffith and Ogden? No one stops at the stop sign and I’ve seen multiple incidents where kids almost get run over.
  • 254 9th St Jersey City, New Jersey, 07302 - Downtown
This signpost needs to be removed.
  • Greene St Jersey City, New Jersey, 07302 - The Waterfront
These 6 signposts no longer serve a purpose. They have no signs attached. They should be removed.
  • Sherman Ave & South St Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights
The intersection at South Street and Sherman Ave is staggered, so that cars on Sherman need to make a left turn and drive against traffic to continue on to Sherman. This has become more of a safety issue for cars as well as pedestrians since white corner posts have been installed and cars can’t now cut diagonally across the intersection and instead must travel 10-15 plus feet directly against traffic, crossing a crosswalk going the wrong way, to continue on Sherman. I believe the signs shown on South were meant to discourage this, but are very often ignored. It seems that right turn only signs on the south side of Sherman would be much clearer to drivers and be more effective in curbing this illegal and dangerous behavior.
  • 326 Johnston Ave Jersey City, New Jersey, 07304 - Bergen-Lafayette
For nearly two years these One Way signs were either stolen or one is blank on a side. Pine was recently changed to a 1-way road but bc the sign is blank, cars tend to swiftly turn onto the street endangering pedestrians when they're heading up Johnston toward LSP. Please fix. Thanks.
  • Warren St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - The Waterfront
There used to be a “No Parking Any Time” sign right outside of Portside Tower’s trash garage. Now there is only an empty metal pole with no signage. Because of that, many people use the cal-de-sac as their free parking and will park for many days (especially on the weekend) for free.
  • 339 Communipaw Ave Jersey City, NJ 07304, USA - Bergen-Lafayette
please add a stop sign or bump. Cars speed and accidents happen often
