Chronic and persistent dog waste is present on the sidewalks along this residential block. Despite repeated concerns from homeowners, there is currently no official city-installed “Curb Your Dog” signage, and the lack of visible enforcement has led to widespread disregard for basic sanitation and community standards.

This has become an ongoing public health and quality-of-life issue, particularly for residents walking with young children, strollers, and families who must navigate feces-covered sidewalks on a daily basis. Many long-term homeowners and taxpayers reside on this block, and the continued accumulation of dog waste is both unsanitary and deeply frustrating.

The issue is especially concerning given that a public park is located just one block away, yet dog owners continue to allow waste to be left on residential sidewalks instead of using appropriate areas. The absence of signage and enforcement has effectively enabled this behavior.

We are respectfully requesting the installation of official “Curb Your Dog” signage, along with targeted Animal Control enforcement, active patrols, and ticketing during peak dog-walking hours. Signage combined with enforcement is necessary to address ongoing non-compliance, protect public health, and restore basic cleanliness and respect on this residential block.
