Traffic/Pedestrian Safety Study RequestsAcknowledged296 Palisade Ave Jersey City, NJ 07307, USA - The HeightsPlease install curb extensions at Palisade and Booraem. The opening is extremely wide causing pedestrians to be in the street for too long and allowing cars to turn at high speed.

Pedestrian Safety Study RequestAcknowledged207 Van Vorst St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - DowntownWhen the building permits for the Lenox and the Maddox were issued by the city (circa 2016), the neighbors in house nearby requested a traffic study on Van Vorst for the increased vehicles. It's now 2022 and no changes have been made to the flow of vehicle traffic on Van Vorst (between Sussex and Morris Street. There is currently parking on both side of the street and two-way traffic. There isn’t room for 4 cars on Van Vorst and it's worse when there are larger delivery and food trucks parked at the intersection. Cars frequently cannot turn onto the street and are forced to back up into traffic. Visibility turning onto Morris is poor which creates dangerous conditions for pedestrians. The street can support only three cars, so either it should be turned into a one-way street or parking eliminated from one side.

This CitiBike driver thought that it would be OK for him to drive over the parking bollards that protect pedestrians at the corner and park there while he played with his cellphone.
Considering that our tax dollars have to pay for these to be replaced, it's appropriate that CitiBike should pay for that.

Traffic/Pedestrian Safety Study RequestsAcknowledged479 Washington Blvd Jersey City, NJ 07310, USA - The WaterfrontTraffic heading south on Washington Bl and turning right (west) on 6th st/Thomas Gagnon. Cars routinely ignore pedestrians and just drive through. Other drivers make this into a two lane turn, refusing to wait and pull out and around a waiting car. It's the most scary intersection on Washington Blvd

Pedestrian Safety Study RequestAcknowledged55 Soho Dr Jersey City, NJ 07305, USA - West Side
They are speeding every night. And they also speed late at night waking us up from our sleep.
Second, the sport auto body shop on Mallory Ave and Pollock ave, they parkt their customer cars on the bicycle lane, and sometimes they even double parking on Mallory Ave. It blocks my sight when I am driving, especially when I make a turn. they park their customer cars everywhere on the street, giving the residents a hard time to find a parking at all times.
I think we need some signs such as quiet zone sign and permit parking for the area around Mallory Ave. the city must have come up with any law or rule about the auto shop that parks their customer cars on street all day and even overnight. that is affecting the residents' lives. or at least out permit parking sign around here so we can have parking when we get home from work or on our day off.
and please they are speeding everyday no matter it's day or night.

Ask a QuestionAcknowledged231 Pacific Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07304, USA - Bergen-LafayetteCan the people of Pacific Avenue get a stop sign at Bramhall to stop the speeding traffic and dangerous cars? There have been numerous accidents including several hit and runs because of speed and out-of-control vehicles. The city could make a fortune if they enforced the speed limit. We've asked for a speed bump but were told no because emergency vehicle use.
