PotholesOtwarteConant Rd Watertown, Massachusetts, 02472 - WatertownWe have been reporting this for over two years now. It’s a mess and it’s a hazard that could potentially turn into a sinkhole. The town “fixed” it and made it worse three years ago. I will be contacting the city every week for the rest of the year until our street is replaced correctly. It hasn’t been paved in over 37 years.

I am writing to bring to your immediate attention a concern regarding improper drainage on the bike paths on Arsenal and Taylor Streets, which has created a hazardous condition for cyclists and pedestrians. Today I was biking along both of these paths. Along sections of both of these paths, I observed standing water blocking the entire path. This standing water has made portions of the path slippery and unsafe, posing a significant risk of accidents for users including bicyclists. These sections of path would be entirely impassable by a person with a wheelchair and would cause significant danger to any pedestrian in a vulnerable situation, due to the lack of traction.
Given the potential safety risks involved, I urge the city to take the following actions:
• Inspect and repair the drainage system along Watertown bike paths to ensure proper water flow and prevent pooling.
• Consider resurfacing sections with pooling water to angle the path to prevent water pooling after snow and rain
• Install drainage grates along the side of the path where water pools to drain the water
Please consider this notice of the potential hazard. I'm more than happy to provide more details about the hazard if you have any questions. -
PotholesOtwarte1-99 Oliver Rd Watertown Town, MA, 02472, USA - Watertown
This was marked done, but it was not.
Potholes, the end of the street where it meets Dexter, in front of 10 Oliver, and in front of 7 Oliver. The whole road it’s a pothole and the plows and heavy salt trucks have made it worse with new cracks in the pavement and ripping up the patches that were there. Also after the water main break, asphalt was never replaced and the gravel used to fill in the hole is now all over the road. We really need a full repave
