    There needs to be a sidewalk here. Many people walk here to get to the cemetery. If you walk on the other side of the street, there is no crosswalk to cross the street safely to get to this side entrance of the cemetery. There is a desire path here, so you can tell hundreds of people walk, run, bike on this side of the street. Please extend the sidewalk.

    This projecting curb at the crosswalk is poorly marked. I was biking here heading west late afternoon in April with setting sun in my eyes and went right into curb breaking my shoulder and bruises on right side. The curb should be painted yellow and a typical warning sign on short pole be placed in projecting curb. There are other similar locations close by on rt 16 crosswalks.

    I am writing as a concerned resident of Channing road vicinities to formally request the city’s immediate attention to a sidewalk hazard located on 46/48 Channing road and 52/54 Channing road.

    As you can see in the attached photo, the sidewalk is currently blocked with a sign indicating “Sidewalk Closed - Cross Here.” This blockage, however, does not provide a safe or clear crossing alternative, and the surrounding area is uneven and difficult to navigate for pedestrians, particularly the elderly, disabled individuals, and parents with strollers. The obstruction forces pedestrians dangerously close to parked vehicles and traffic lanes.

    This condition has persisted for some time without visible construction activity or maintenance work taking place, leading to growing frustration and concern in the community. The lack of repair and poor detour signage pose a serious risk of trip and fall injuries.

    We kindly request that the city inspect the site as soon as possible and either complete the necessary sidewalk repairs or provide a safe and accessible detour route. A clear timeline for resolving this issue would be appreciated.
