RE: The new crosswalk.
I cross 5th Ave N. at 46 St. daily. The new crosswalk is not yet functional, however cars are randomly stopping to allow me to cross. This is dangerous because other drivers may not stop which could result in a tragedy. My concern is pedestrian safety.

I would like to report a complaint on the Pinellas Trail regarding the crosswalks specifically at 64th Street, 5th Ave North and 9th Ave North. I have been using the Pinellas Trail for over two years. I walk on the trail typically every day. The issue lies with the crosswalks previously mentioned above. While walking in the crosswalks I always use the button that lights up with yellow flashing lights. I never have any issues with the drivers to my left; however approximately 8 different occasions I have been almost hit by a driver on my right side while I’m in the middle of the crosswalks. The drivers on my left have all stopped, the yellow flashing lights are illuminated and the driver on my right are always far enough away from the crosswalk before I press the button. On two occasions the driver was less than three feet from hitting me. In every scenario of all 8 incidents involved the driver not stopping at the line in the road that is designated for them to stop at it they aren’t stopping. What am I supposed to do about this happening? I’m very concerned that one day someone might hit me or another walker, runner or biker. Has anyone considered changing the yellow flashing lights to red?

Crossing button on north side of 5th Ave N at 25th St not functioning

Resident called into report a large pot hole on the brick road approx 3ft X 3ft

We have been told over the last two years crosswalks would be installed in the summer. The summers have gone, no crosswalks and you folks didn't keep your word. Sad.. So rather than continue to dodge speeding cars while attempting to cross how about "splurging" and keep a speeding monitor anchored on 4th St. S to help slow down the speeding drivers while crossing the road?

Road markings need painted

We have requested signage and painted lines for over a year and our driveway continues to regularly be blocked to where we cannot access it or leave during the day. You all were supposed to have this completed by the end of May according to our last request.

Since my last request you have painted a pedistrian walk and no parking hash marks on the corner, but failed to complete this request 30ft away.

The traffic signal needs retiming! It looks to be pretimed to allow green time for 6th Ave even when there are no cars on 6the Ave S. It creates an artificial backup on MLK going south near the bridge especially with the construction that necks traffic down to one lane. During peak times the backup goes all the way north of 5th Ave S. MLK should receive more green time with the one lane of traffic due to the construction.

Put up a sign that says you cant go through. Not that hard to do. Blocking the whole 62nd ave with no markings.
