It doesn't make any sense. People shouldn't have to wait 5 minutes just to make a left turn when there's no oncoming traffic? I mean I understand if it's during peak hours, but not all the time. I have seen countless times where drivers just turn on red light because they don't want to wait forever, and others drive past the streetlight to make a U-turn. It needs to be reverted already for christ's sake.

I was driving East on Pinellas Point Drive South, and at MLK Jr. Blvd, the left turn light is out, and the housing for that light looks partially broken off. The light for traffic continuing straight ahead (east) at that intersection is fine.
