The city recently came through with a plow to flatten and resurface the alley between 3rd, 4th Ave N, near 74th St N. It is total dirt and sand. Several of us access our driveway via this alley, and it is a DUST BOWL when we drive in, even slowly. The dust goes everywhere- near homes. and of course, the car is forever dusty. Also, they did not correctly repair the pothole near 74th St N and the alley. The alley needs gravel, or some form of paving.

Duke energy cut a square out in the alley about 6 months ago. The patch failed and there is a 1 ft square hole in the alley. I have covered it with dirt and a paver to prevent injuries and car damage.

Paved alley between 1st St North and Coffee Pot Blvd NE (south side) has become broken and rutted from weather and heavy vehicle traffic.

They requested alley condition review and maintenance

Alley between 1st and 2nd Ave N and 39th and 40th St in disrepair. Sandy, poorly graded alley is washing out into 40th St and wrapping around the curb, causing poor drainage when it rains. Many large ruts and potholes present in patchy asphalt, damaging vehicles and rims. Please flatten, grade, and pave the portion of alley where it meets 40th St for a permanent solution to this ongoing issue. No other alleys look like this in this neighborhood, please make this a priority. Thank you.

The alley behind my property is currently a dirt road that’s in very poor conditions. It’s uneven, filled with potholes, and becomes muddy and difficult to navigate when it rains. The lack of proper pavement creates drainage issues, kicks up dust, and poses a hazard for both vehicles and pedestrians. Given that it’s 2025 and we’re in an urban area like St.Petersburg, it’s surprising and disappointing that this ally remains unpave. I’m requesting that the city takes action to grade, repair, and pave this ally to meet basic infrastructure standards and ensure safe, clean access for residents.
