The alley was repaved probably 2 years ago. Water lays there often and has even after first repaved and more than 24 hours, which also adds to mosquito problem. Also, seems the neighborhood is getting flooding in areas where it hasn't before so maybe the drains need to be cleaned out?

  • 436 77th Ave N St Petersburg, Florida, 33702 - Fossil Park Neighborhood Association

We have reported the poor condition of this street multiple times over the past three years due to uneven surfaces and frequent flooding. Despite repeated complaints, the city continues to mark the issue as “resolved,” yet no proper fix has been implemented.

The street remains in unacceptable condition. Instead of repaving with proper asphalt, milled material has been used, which is not a suitable or lasting solution. Flooding continues to affect our parking spaces, making it difficult and hazardous to exit vehicles. Additionally, the rough, uneven surface presents a serious tripping hazard—especially to children in the area.

We urge the city to address this issue properly with permanent asphalt resurfacing and adequate drainage improvements. After three years, the residents deserve a safe and lasting resolution.
