Due to construction and heavy trucks, parts of the alleyway have begun to sink into grooves and created potholes where water accumulates. Concern is mosquito infestation, among other things. Alley needs to be paved to address this issue long term.

I am the owner of 5451 38th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33710. I am hoping this email is finding the correct department to request repaving our back alley. If we need to contact another department, please advise.

Since we live on 38th Ave N, the back alley is the primary access to many homes. The alley has degraded into nothing but dirt and gravel, and is consistently creating pot holes and ruts due to heavy traffic, rain, and garbage trucks. This makes it difficult for vehicles to maneuver the alleyway.

We have noticed that the back alley between 53rd and 52nd is paved, and we believe repaving our alley will alleviate the issues stated, and will prevent future maintenance in the years to come.

Please see attached pictures of the current rut/pothole in the alley. Once again, if we need to contact a different email, please provide the proper email, or forward to the appropriate department.

    Thank you!

Complaint RE condition of the alley, "We have lived at this address for three years and it continues to be an issue as it's partially paved, partially gravel, but most of the time dusty and or muddy depending on weather. We've noticed that many alleys are in much better condition in our neighborhood. Please advise if this is something that can be or is in the works to be addressed."
