City of Hammond PLUS

Stop sign needed for students to cross safely. There are semi's and cars that drive very fast while the students are waiting for a safe time to cross. There are small elementary children crossing alone at times and this is very dangerous. ea

People still disobeying the DO NOT ENTER SIGNS HERE. We the taxpayers want action

Many cars are speeding through Parrish and always run the stop sign on Parrish and Vine Can we do something about it because it's getting out of hand Kids walk along the street and I have seen many people with dogs out as well and cars casually running the stop sign while people are trying to cross

on 149th and Chestnut Ave has a 4 way stop sign, and NOONE stops, they speed right thru. There are kids outside playing, riding bikes, some is gonna get hurt. This happens thru out the day and evening. If the HPD sits on the street, they can give out plenty of tickets.
please, something has to be done.

The amount of cars speeding/drag racing each day on Chicago Avenue between Columbia and Calumet is absurd. I fear one day one of these vehicles is going to lose control and hit a house or hit a pedestrian. Irving Elementary is on Chicago Avenue! Need cameras or flashing lights or speed bumps or something to deter this problem.

ALLEY NEEDS SEVERAL SIGNS POSTED , ONE WAY SOUTHBOUND IN ALLEY. A TRAFFIC HAZARD AND SAFETY CONCERN. TRAFFIC SPEEDING NORTHBOUND IN ALLEY , WHICH IS THE WRONG WAY. CAN STREET DEPARTMENT POST SEVERAL WRONG WAY SIGNS IN BUSY ALLEY BECAUSE OF BUSINESSES.

Why can't we get a flashing left turn signal at this intersection? People racing up 165th to beat the red to get to McDonald's/Menards is dangerous and avoidable.

Can we turn this intersection into a 4 way stop?

This is the third semi that has had to backup on E. Carroll street at Shultz Ave because they think that Columbia Ave is accessible. It is very dangerous. It doesn't even matter that E. Carroll is a one way street going west. People are constantly going the wrong way on E. Carroll with impunity, in spite of a recent "no left turn" sign at the corner of Shultz & E. Carroll. (thank you for that). My request is "Can more notification of "no outlet / local traffic only" be placed prominently somewhere at Shultz & E. Carroll?" There is no other reason for anyone other than the residents who live here to come to this end of a block without an outlet. Thank you.
