    Hammond Truck Parking is drawing all the semis down Michigan St. from Calumet to Indy. I spoke with a HPD officer today about the trucks (he said he ticketed 3 so far today) and I mentioned this business but he said they can't do anything because it's in EC. This is incorrect. The south side of Michigan to the east of the curve is in Hammond. You can tell by the signage. (Michigan is Hammond, Carrol is EC.) How is this nuisance business operating in the city on a non-truck route?

    they continue to park on the sidewalk. I've reported to code, but stacking used tires outside the building must be violating something? I'm concerned about the safety of the building we own next door, not only for people pulling out the alley or the poor image it creates with the oil stains and endless tires, but also the potential rubber fire that will surely cause damage to our building. thank you for your understanding of my concerns.
