I hope what was done today is a temporary fix. Please advise if this street will get a complete replacement. Also there is a dip in the road from new sewers for the new school and this needs to be fixed also. -

Park ProblemAcknowledgedForsythe Park Hammond IN 46394, United States - HammondWhile hundreds of hours of manpower are dedicated to a 'festival' that glorifies only the mayor, our children's playground looks like this. 6 kids sleeping at the corner of 119th St to 'monitor parking', while cars fill the neighborhood to avoid the exorbitant parking fees. Yet, we're told to dial 911, a COUNTY WIDE EMERGENCY SYSTEM to report PARKING ISSUES???
Where's the logic in this? Tie up 911 so someone having a heart attack can't get through?

Park ProblemAcknowledged7205 Kennedy Ave Hammond, IN 46323, USA - HammondThe park dept. need to focus on the little red school house . There is tall weed berry bushes growing all along the side and back of building and I think it should be repainted it is suppose to be red but it hasn't been painted in ages so now it's the purple school house since it has faded over the years. The park overall looks nice but the park's dept is letting this building look neglected and it has history. such a shame.

Park ProblemOpen2004 Lincoln Ave Whiting, IN 46394, USA - Hammondthirsty trees - The City spends money beautifying our municipality, but - like raising a child or a puppy, planting trees/flowers is not a one-and-done item on a checklist. We've been in a rainless spell, headed for a continued dry period & summer temps. Like rust & wrinkles, playing catch-up is a fool's errand. Would the Hammond Fire Department consider zapping the roots of said trees once with water, to halt the already browning leaves? Ma Nature will hopefully jump back in the game thereafter. Park ProblemOpen1901–1915 Warwick Ave Hammond IN 46394, United States - HammondMelted garbage container debris on sidewalk at Forsythe Square needs to be removed. Presumably someone lit fireworks off in the container or left them in there and it caught fire. This is why we need legitimate, metal, trash containers in our parks. NOT 55 GALLON PLASTIC DRUMS OR PLASTIC ALLEY TRASH BINS. PLEASE BUT A LEGITIMATE METAL TRASH CONTAINER AT THIS PARK. -

Park ProblemAcknowledged1130 River Dr Hammond, IN 46324, USA - HammondVisitors to Riverside Park for multiple baseball games had to park in the wet, muddy grass following a day of rain because of a lack of parking spaces in the three lots on the east side closest to Columbia Avenue. Several years ago, bleachers were dumped in the smallest parking lot and left and haven't been used since. They are taking up half of that lot for no reason! It also might help for more efficient parking if the lines were repainted in all three lots.
Also at least 5 years ago or more, one of the decorative lights was broken during a storm. The stump has been sitting there. Any intentions of replacing it? The Riverside Park residents would appreciate our area getting some attention! Thank you.
