Groundwater drainageReconocido56 Crescent Ter Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington ElectricIssue with ground water being pumped onto the street which then flows to the grate on the corner and overflows into the middle of Crescent Terrace. In the winter, it causes ice and in the summer, there is a slippery green substance along the gutter. Since the snow and rain storm, it is quite dramatic. Is there a solution to this?

Drainage issueReconocido29 Leddy Park Road Burlington, Vermont - Burlington ElectricOn the east side of North Ave, there is no drainage from Leddy to the shopping center intersection. The whole bike lane is underwater (or under ice when the temps drop). This section was repaved last summer, but the grading/drainage was not addressed at the same time so the pooling is just as bad as it was before.

DrainageReconocido70 Bilodeau Ct Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
Hey ... remember that complaint about drainage at the end of Bilodeau Court that got "Archived"? What does that mean ... Archived? I've asked the question before, but didn't get an answer. This is the current situation 20 minutes into a rains storm. If this ends up in my basement again (75 Bilodeau Court), I'm gonna be @#$%. And I'll probably start looking into how to start a lawsuit for clean up based on the documented neglect for the issue throughout various seasons over the past three years.
FIX this.

DrainageReconocido31 North Avenue Burlington, Vermont - Burlington ElectricIn the northbound bike lane on North Ave, between Sherman St and North St, are several locations that pool water for the entire width of the bike lane. This is dangerous because it does not allow folks to see if there are hazards like potholes or broken glass present and it is also a comfort issue (no one likes being splashed...).
-
Street Pavement ConditionReconocido426 Colchester Ave Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricLarge gap at very uneven grate. This is on the steep section uphill in the bike lane and approximately 5" deep. Please fix this area in the bike lane. This was reported over a year ago and no fix has been applied. It is a real hazard for people on a bike causing them to have to swerve. If this was a pothole in the road it would have been filled long ago.

Drainage: Groundwater IssueReconocidoBilodeau Court Burlington, VT - Burlington Electric1. Houses that are situated to the east of the final storm sewer drain (68 and 70 addresses) have water that collects in front of their driveways with any rainfall or any significant snowmelt. These collection puddles will easily accumulate to approximately 4” in depth. During the winter, these puddles then freeze and remain a significant ice patch for most of the winter. When not completely frozen, the resulting slushy puddle spans the driveway aprons and would make it impossible to walk from the road (such as from a parked car) and up the driveway without submerging your feet. There is no place for this water to drain. The nearest storm water drain is situated uphill at the adjacent house.

DrainageReconocido324 S Willard St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
Dear Street Maintenance Manager,
I reported this issue on April 5th (see ticket 9651643). You closed the ticket with following comment:
"The Department of Public Works has resolved this request. Thanks for helping to keep Burlington a great place to live and work."
The drain is still clogged and causes the water to collect again. The issue was never resolved, and it appears the drain was never flushed. This creates a big puddle that makes it difficult to use the bike lane. Pedestrians coming down the drive are being sprayed by the cars. This is also a reoccurring issue. See the tickets

4378153You may want to reconsider your future responses if you want citizen of Burlington to utilize the SeeClickFix app. In particular, I was asking in the comment if the drain has been flushed. I never received a response. I am frustrated that the ticket 9651643 was closed without making an effort to resolve the issue. I understand that there limited resources and it may take a while until a issue is resolved, but pretending issues do not exist is helpful for anybody in the city.

improper drainageReconocido70 Bilodeau Ct. Burlington, Vermont - Burlington ElectricEvery time it rains, water stays in fairly deep pool at the end of our driveway and stretches east along the street up to our neighbor's driveway. To the west, water also collects. Although there is a drain to the west, the street is not pitched to bring water from the east side to that drain. It is the only drain in this portion of the street.
