  • Edmunds Elementary School - Burlington Electric
The crosswalk light on the school side is not flashing.
  • Colchester Ave & Fletcher Pl Burlington, VT, 05405, USA - Burlington Electric
I previously reported that the RFB on Colchester Ave at Fletcher place only has one sided flashing lights. The RFB at Kampus Kitchen and East Ave have dual sided flashing lights. The issue was closed out as resolved but nothing was actually done. Please upgrade this RFB on a major road with high usage to be safer by having flashing lights on both sides of the sign on both sides of the road. • Colchester Ave & East Ave Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
If biking east on the shared use path on Colchester Ave it is very difficult to get from the shared use path onto Colchester Ave heading east at the intersection with East Ave. There is a pedestrian button that you push. When the pedestrian signal turns green the right turn lane has a no turn on red but the straight lane gets a green at the same time the pedestrian cycle turns green basically making it impossible to merge out into the lane in a safe manner. Please extend the red light for traffic traveling east on Colchester Ave to allow a bike rider on the shared use path to merge into the travel lane since there are no bike facilities until past the cemetery at this point. Or any other upgrade that would allow a user to head east from the shared use path towards Winooski in a safe and timely manner.
  • 117-139 Lakeside Ave Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
New traffic light timing is excessively long for exiting 128 Lakeside. Over three minutes waiting while regular traffic will have only a half dozen car pass on the main road. I have seen multiple cars run the red light in frustration which is unsafe.
  • Champlain Pkwy & Flynn Ave Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
As a train passed by and preempted the Flynn/Champlain Pkwy intersection signal (with prolonged red for everyone except eastbound Flynn traffic), I observed several southbound parkway vehicles run the light due to the prolonged red phase, presumably thinking the light was malfunctioning. I suggest adding signage (akin to signs that mention advanced or delayed greens) indicating that prolonged delays may occur when a train is passing, so that drivers who cannot see the tracks won't run the light, thinking it is stuck.
  • As of Thursday night (9/18) the pedestrian crosswalk signaling at the corner of King and Battery was not giving any audio signal for safe crossing. i.e. normally after you press the button, when you get the flashing white human "walk" light, you get accompanying beeps. There were no beeps.
  • Main St Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington Electric
Traffic lights damaged in accident at Main Street and So. Willard St
  • 2-48 Shore Rd Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric
The settings on Pedestrian crossing signals need to be fixed. Sometimes but not always it goes from a white walk signal to a red palm with zero seconds left. That means I’m stuck in the middle of a crosswalk being told I’m not allowed to cross after I was told it is safe to cross.
This is a dangerous intersection for pedestrians cars making a left-hand turn from North Avenue will usually not stop for pedestrians and there’s been a number of times I’ve almost been hit. When the signal is up. They’re yelling at me saying I shouldn’t be crossing and this might be why. Something is very wrong with his intersection and it needs to be fixed before there’s a serious accident or someone gets killed. This is an especially important now. that there is an elementary school temporarily at Saint Marks.
  • 250-264 Flynn Ave Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
The exit from the parking lot at 208 Flynn Avenue is directly adjacent to the new traffic light for the connector. When the light is red on Flynn Avenue, traffic backs up at the light and people exiting the parking lot are unable to turn left onto Flynn. This can take multiple light cycles at peak traffic times. This intersection should be studied to determine how to fix this issue. There are alot of people that work at the businesses at 208 Flynn Avenue, as well as a daycare, so this affects a great number of people at peak traffic times.
  • 266 Main St Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington Electric
This light should be a blinking red during the construction There is almost no traffic on Main Street since the road is closed during the day. .
  • 299 Main St Burlington, VT 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
Lights not flashing at crosswalk across from Edmonds
  • Flynn Ave & Pine St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
Regarding the intersection of Pine and Flynn, moving northwards. If there is a car waiting to turn left onto Flynn Ave from Pine St, it often will take more than one light cycle for traffic to move at all. A left turn signal or even not allowing left turns there might be helpful to keep traffic moving.
