Hi! I live on archibald and we really have no options for bike storage. I’m afraid my bike will get stolen and I rent so I have no power (or space) to install a bike rack. I know others on my street are in the same boat, and many kids bike to and from school nearby. A covered bike rack would be incredible somewhere on archibald, near IAA. I think this would actually increase the number of people who used biking as a transportation method around here!
  • Chase St & Colchester Ave Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric

In regards to the Colchester / Chase St traffic calming - Although this has done a fair job reducing the speeding, there still remains a noticeable presence of disrespectful driving at all hours of the day. My bedroom is near the street and there's several nights I've felt unsafe in my own bed, hearing cars speeding and taking turns at high speeds.

Would it be possible to request Chase St closed to through traffic? There's really no need to have Chase St and Barrett St providing the same thoroughfare - Barrett St is already a controlled intersection. Living on Chase St feels more like living on a highway than a neighborhood street with the amount of traffic through here. Everybody is inside their house or backyard, because the front yards are littered with traffic.

truck zone not large enough and backs up into fire hydrant.
  • North Ave & Leonard St Burlington, Vermont, 05408 - Burlington Electric
Leonard Street is a small dead end street with lots of young kids. Unfortunately, many people turn onto our street, thinking it’s the road to Leddy Park, and go flying way too fast down the street, only to go roaring back up when they realize they turned too early.
Can we please get a Dead End sign placed at the top of our street?

truck zone backs up into garage driveway
  • 457 S Willard St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
Please consider making the top space on Howard Street, the space between our garage and South Willard, a No Parking spot. Yesterday alone there were two accidents there, and one left a car with fuel leaking, requiring the Fire Department. Cars park there, and cars (and buses and trucks) coming around the corner from South Willard don’t see them in time. I’m afraid we may have a really nasty accident.
  • Ethan Allen Pkwy & Farrington Pkwy Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric

During school pick-up times, the line of parents parking obstructs the view of anyone trying to safely navigate the intersection at Farrington PKWY and Ethan Allen Pkwy.

The parents will park right up to the intersection and their vehicles obstruct the view of anyone at the intersection.

Please reevaluate the parking allowances on Ethan Allen Parkway.

The excess of people parking and circling the block looking for parking in this area creates dangerous situations for anyone outside of a car or using that intersection.

    Thank you for your time,

  • 73 Birchcliff Pkwy Burlington VT 05401, United States - Burlington Electric
If cars are parked on both sides of Birchcliff, only one car width is left in the center. Please restrict parking to one side of the street.
  • 37-99 Murray St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
    To whom it may concern,
Because of covid many parents that send their children to the sustainability academy are driving their children to school and not using the bus.
Between 7:45 and 8:15 there is not enough 15 minute parking spaces.
There are "no parking" spaces and most of the time parents can park with their flashers on. These are directly across form 60 Murray st.
There happens to be a person that lives by one of these houses that comes out and yells at the parents and children if they park there.
I was wondering if for the rest of the pandemic the city could change the designation of these parking spaces to 15 minute space during that short window of time?
I want to state that the aggressor is not wrong but their highly aggressive behavior is unacceptable, anti civil and not not in line with our city values(maybe).
    Respectfully yours,
Long time resident (first time emailer)

Hillcrest Rd Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington Electric
The top of Hillcrest has a traffic control feature (island with plants), curb missing, bank on each side of the road, pot holes in the same area. No place for people to walk, it's very dangerous. As a result of these problems, I fell when attempting to get out of the road when a car was coming. Very dangerous. More people are walking due to the pandemic and will continue to do so. This is a real problem.
