136-168 North Ave Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington Electric
Requesting crosswalk improvements for better visibility Keep having near misses in this crosswalk with either cars almost hitting meor almost getting rear-ended. Ideas:
-button activated flashing lights
-cone in the middle with sign that says that cars must yield to pedestriansOr a "your speed" sign might help cars slow down on that area..

Booth St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
I am submitting this document that lays out a suggestion to possibly address a way to increase the number of electric vehicle charging options in the Old North End without sacrificing any existing parking capacity by changing the current parallel parking on Booth Street to be diagonal parking and installing EV charging stations at some of the extra spaces.
If you can suggest a better point of contact with the city for this proposal, please let me know.

227 College St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricNow that the bus stop in front of the library is removed could you please add more quality bike racks at this location. There has been a chronic lack of quality bike parking at the library. This spot will fit several racks.

Traffic CalmingReconnuFlynn Ave Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricA resident of Southwind Drive is requesting traffic calming on Flynn Ave. They note that there are often reckless speeders coming in and out of Oakledge Park.

Pomeroy St Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington Electric, I wanted to request a "no parking on the grass sign" on Pomeroy St. between N. Willard and Colonial Square. The street is quite narrow but has grass on both sides that look like an obvious spot to park but parking services gives out tickets for being even slightly parked on the grass. The only way that I knew not to park on the grass was because a neighbor told me she had gotten a ticket for parking on the grass on her own lawn! I have since passed along the message to others in the neighborhood all of whom were unaware. I think 2 signs on the south side and 1 on the north side would be helpful so that others in the neighborhood know where they are legally allowed to park.

Rose St Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington ElectricSPEED BUMPS NEEDED! I just moved onto this street two weeks ago and have observed people basically drag racing up the street (no exaggeration) often late at night. It wakes us up and is very loud. One person was doing loops around the block (I counted 5-6). It is a daily occurrence. I am also aware of multiple traffic fatalities due to excessive speed on this street in the last few years. I have a 6 YO child and real concerns about safety, as cars speed up and down the street. Other nearby small streets like ours have speed bumps, why not this one? I am also concerned that an accident could hit our house, which is on the corner of Cedar and Rose St. and right across from the site of a fatal accident last year. Please help make our street safe for children (and everyone)! Sincerely, Concerned Citizen

Traffic Signal ProblemsReconnu142-150 Lakeside Ave Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
The new signals here are confusing and cumbersome to both walkers and drivers. As a driver, exiting 128 Lakeside to go East, there's often a quite long wait despite no traffic. Drivers traveling either direction on Lakeside can see more than one set of lights, and are sometimes confused which light to use. As a walker exiting 128 Lakeside, especially to head south toward Flynn, there are multiple long wait cycles, often with (from what can be seen) cars waiting in all directions and all (visible) lights red.
I don't have any great solutions, but would invite someone to drive into and out of 128 Lakeside, and walk from 128 Lakeside to City Market. Perhaps consider the light at 128 Lakeside a flashing red at exit, yellow on Lakeside until patterns are better understood?

40 Wright Ave Burlington VT 05401, United States - Burlington ElectricIt would be amazing to have some like parking at the end of Wright Ave. A couple U bars in cement would be ideal.
-
237 N Winooski Ave Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricCars often speed through this area, especially at night. Most do not stop at the intersection with North Union, which means a car can be at this crosswalk just seconds after coming into view. A flashing crosswalk sign would at least make pedestrians more visible at night.

Spring St Burlington VT 05401, United States - Burlington Electric
Recently the City changed signage in this area, eliminating 6-7 parking spots near IAA that were frequently used by parents & teachers. Why!?
Knowing that parking is already an issue all around the school, I can't figure out any reason these spots needed to be removed.

42-76 Rose St Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington ElectricPublic works has promised additional planters for the no parking zones at the intersection of Cedar and Rose, and they have not materialized. This was requested in the winter and we were told when the weather warmed they would add them. Still no sign of them. Please follow through.

115 Pine St Burlington, VT 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricBecause of the snow there has been an increase in this issue, but people keep parking here even though there is no meter, and it is not a parking spot. There needs to be two signs on either side of this area that says no parking with arrows pointed to the middle. There is a pathway from the back entrance/exit of South Square HUD building with a lowered ramp here, and because of the snow, people think it's a spot and are parking there. People also do it in the warm months as well. Please put No Parking signs so people do not unjustly get ticketed or towed.
