94 Mansfield Ave Burlington, VT 05401, USA - Burlington Electricmissing neighborhood Greenway signage on Mansfield Ave by Loomis St

Main St Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington ElectricThe reason I'm emailing again is to just kind of give you a heads up. So after you guys put another Lane assignment sign closer to the lights, still noticing that people just do not care. Today is Thursday the 5th and I cannot tell you how many near misses I've seen at that intersection. And it's usually the same side, Main Street going west past the intersection. People are doing one of two things still, not paying attention to the extra sign you put up so they have no idea what lane they're supposed to be in and also they are kind of using the confusion a little bit to skip the traffic line. So if people are in the lane to go straight and there's a few people backed up you know maybe five or six cars somebody will jump in that left only lane and cut in front of The car's waiting in line.

239-253 N Prospect St Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington ElectricCan you put a mirror on the east side of N Prospect St. at the intersection with Archibald? It's a tricky intersection and when you're turning south onto N Prospect from Archibald), you basically have to drive into the intersection and hope nobody hits yo (because of the steep hill towards Riverside)u It's especially bad this time of year when the grass hasn't been cut Having a mirror would allow traffic on Archibald to seecars coming up the blind hill onof N Prospect

49-87 Saint Louis St Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington Electric
Could you improve the biking infrastructure on Oak St and Manhattan around Roosevelt park and IAA? Cars routinely pass bikers with only inches of clearance on these two roads and it's pretty scary to witness
Signage emphasizing the 4 ft clearance would help or maybe making a new Greenway route to help biker find an alternative route would be helpful. Or just some PSAs from the City could do it.
Vermont state law requires motorists to give 4 feet of clearance when passing bikers or other "vulnerable users".
If drivers cannot pass with 4 ft of clearance, it is both unsafe and illegal to pass the biker/roller/other user of the road.

200 Church St Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington ElectricRequesting 2 spaces to allow BT customers to park to pick up and drop off items.

340 North St Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington ElectricAcross the street from us at 340 North Street, is a street parking spot that always has 2 cars trying to squeeze into it. It measures 29' from curb cut to curb cut. As I understand it, there needs to be 2' from the end of the car to the nearest curb cut. So, 2' from each side of this space from 29' equals 25'. Standard parking space design depth is 20'. There are constantly cars being towed because of the parking enforcement. I wasn't sure if parking enforcement makes recommendations for signage at certain locations? I do know that the tail end and nose end of cars are constantly edging into the driveway curb cuts on both ends of this spot, making it dangerous and difficult for people to see/pull out onto the streets safely. I recently saw a sign on North Willard saying something like.."this space for single car only" or something like that. Can we get one installed here as well?

Active Construction IssueReconnu175-185 S Champlain St Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington ElectricThe city planner needs to be held accountable and terminated from their position for allowing this to happen in the city.

Pomeroy St Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington Electric, I wanted to request a "no parking on the grass sign" on Pomeroy St. between N. Willard and Colonial Square. The street is quite narrow but has grass on both sides that look like an obvious spot to park but parking services gives out tickets for being even slightly parked on the grass. The only way that I knew not to park on the grass was because a neighbor told me she had gotten a ticket for parking on the grass on her own lawn! I have since passed along the message to others in the neighborhood all of whom were unaware. I think 2 signs on the south side and 1 on the north side would be helpful so that others in the neighborhood know where they are legally allowed to park.

36 Elmwood Ave Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington ElectricI hope this email finds you well, though I must express that I am deeply frustrated and concerned about an issue that has persisted for far too long. Over the past year, I have been living at 36 Elmwood Avenue, where we have had an ongoing issue with parking spaces in front of our residence that has caused significant inconvenience and frustration.
Initially, we had two public parking spots in front of our house, which were already far too small for the average vehicle. These undersized parking spaces frequently led to larger vehicles obstructing our driveway, rendering it nearly impossible for us to access or exit our property. The situation reached a point where we had no choice but to lodge numerous complaints with the city regarding the constant obstructions to our driveway.
After much persistence and communication with your department, we were relieved when our concerns were finally taken seriously, and the decision was made to reduce the two undersized spots to one standard parking space. This was a significant step towards resolving our ongoing problem. For a brief period, this solution worked perfectly, allowing us unimpeded access to our driveway.
However, I am writing to express my extreme dismay and disappointment in learning that the city has recently converted the second parking spot into a designated motorcycle parking area. This decision has thrown us back into the same predicament we thought we had overcome. I am deeply concerned that this decision not only appears to be arbitrary but also, more importantly, poses a serious risk to public safety.
The situation is further exacerbated by the fact that this converted space is equipped with a parking meter, which implies that it is a valid parking spot for automobiles. Consequently, I am frustrated and angry about the inevitable recurrence of vehicles parking in this area, completely blocking our driveway and causing us undue stress and inconvenience.
I must emphasize that this situation is not only a matter of inconvenience but also a safety hazard, as it jeopardizes our ability to access our own property in emergencies. I am baffled by the city's decision to implement this change without addressing the legitimate concerns of residents in this neighborhood. One of my fellow residents had previously expressed their reservations during the planning stage, yet it seems that these concerns have been disregarded.
I implore you to reconsider this decision and take immediate action to rectify this situation. The safety and well-being of residents should always be the utmost priority for the city. I request that the second parking space be returned to its previous state as it was before this recent change to a motorcycle spot, ensuring that residents can continue to access their properties without obstruction.
I eagerly await your prompt response and a resolution to this matter. Please understand that this issue has caused significant distress and inconvenience to us, and we trust that the city will take our concerns seriously and act in the best interest of its residents. -

115 Pine St Burlington, VT 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricBecause of the snow there has been an increase in this issue, but people keep parking here even though there is no meter, and it is not a parking spot. There needs to be two signs on either side of this area that says no parking with arrows pointed to the middle. There is a pathway from the back entrance/exit of South Square HUD building with a lowered ramp here, and because of the snow, people think it's a spot and are parking there. People also do it in the warm months as well. Please put No Parking signs so people do not unjustly get ticketed or towed.

Street Pavement ConditionReconnuLedge Rd & Hillcrest Rd Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricThe pedestrian crossing at Hillcrest and Ledge Road is dangerous for pedestrians, especially those with mobility issues. It used to be marked as a pedestrian crossing but not for many years now, the condition of the street there is terrible, cars can come barreling down from South Prospect Street, and traffic has been increasing.
