  • St Paul St & S Union St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
There needs to be an indicator light at this crosswalk. Cars routinely speed down the street and visibility for the crosswalk is poor. Unless you are standing in the shoulder, cars rarely stop for pedestrians. This is on the walking route for students going to many schools and it is dangerous.
  • Appletree Point Rd & Burlington Greenway Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric
Requesting stop signs for vehicles at Staniford Road at the Greenway intersection. Speed and limited visibility to and from the populous Appletree Point Road neighborhood creates regular safety hazards and driver confusion despite Greenway user caution.

  • Barrett St & Chase St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
It seems like people are joyriding through the park. This area is highly unsafe for the people who live here. Please monitor this area and take note of the reckless driving - please find ways to help us feel home on our own neighborhood streets. The traffic is destroying this historic area.
  • Proctor Ave & Shelburne Rd South Burlington, VT, 05403, USA - Burlington Electric
This section of shelburne road contains numerous "bottlenecks" where the lane markings become narrower than a tractor trailer, this means that every single day, vehicles pass within inches of eachother. combine this with the foot deep wheel ruts that affect a vehicle ability to travel strait and you have an incredibly dangerous traffic condition. If we're going to continue to squeeze four lanes of traffic into that road, the pavement surface should really be a flat plane
  • 173-209 N Prospect St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
We live on the corner of Colonial Sq and N Prospect, an area that frequently experiences high speed vehicular traffic. This is also an area with high pedestrian traffic, including numerous young children living in the Colonial Sq neighborhood as well as a daycare program at Ohavi Zedek Synagogue. As nearby residents, we are requesting a traffic calming feature on South Prospect, in front of Ohavi Zedek, to reduce the frequency of vehicular speeding.
  • 81 Grant St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
My neighbors and I would LOVE if you could please install speed bumps on our street to slow traffic. Despite our location, we've found a disruptive amount of cars using the street as a through street and whipping through at dangerous speeds. There are multiple children on the street and it is both a safety and a quality of life concern. (Often times cars will rev their engines as they speed through). This rise in dangerous driving is most likely linked to the known trap house at the end of our block, and while we wait for the police to make any progress there, forcing cars to slow down and be mindful will hopefully help return some sense of safety to the street. I know this is a long process on your end to collect data and install, but I ask that you prioritize it as best you can for the sake of our little block! THANK YOU!!

  • 1-47 Marble Ave Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
Requesting consideration for traffic calming/speed bumps on Marble Avenue. Cars and trucks frequently use this one-way street as a Thruway from Saint Paul to Pine. There are many children on our street and vehicles travel well above the speed limit

216 Lake St Burlington VT 05401, United States - Burlington Electric

Hi. I saw this in an article in the Free Press. How can we get this system for the Penny Lane and Lake St. train track crossing?

"Quiet zones exist at many of the crossings between Charlotte and Burlington. The cities and towns along this route have requested the status from the federal government. Because the horn and bell aren’t routinely blown at those locations, the crossings themselves have extra safety measures.”

  • 189-223 S Union St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
Traffic is incredibly loud at night, with many bikes and cars speeding down South Union. I wanted to propose installing speed bumps here to make the street more safe.
