Customer is looking for a no parking signs farther away from driveway so trucks can get in and out without worrying about hitting cars parked too close to driveway, very narrow driveway
  • 1-167 Green Acres Dr Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric

Over the last couple of years the number of cars using Green Acres to avoid waiting at the light at Plattsburg seems to have increased and with it so has the speed at which some of these cars are traveling up and down our street.

I would like to request that the city consider installing traffic calming measures (speed bumps?) on our street to cut down on the number of cars auditioning for the fast and furious on our street.

  • Maple St & Pine St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric

    4 way stop safety issue:

This intersection had always been treacherous, moreso lately. It's a frequent occurrence to drive through that intersection and nearly get t-boned by a vehicle running a stop sign. Some slow down but don't look both ways, some don't slow down at all. There may as well be no stop sign there at all, because the ones that are there apparently don't command enough attention.

This city is dangerous for motorists and pedestrians alike, and it's only going to get worse as traffic increases over time. Please do something to make it less dangerous.

  • Howard St & S Winooski Ave Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
Now that St Paul has been freshly paved, cars are once again speeding at all hours of the day. The crosswalk at the top of St. Paul/south union is dangerous; few drivers stop to let pedestrians cross and sometimes do not stop even when pedestrians are crossing in the crosswalk. The visibility of this crosswalk is not great because of the uphill and curve in Shelburne street at this intersection. Children use this crosswalk when walking to school or to the park. A crosswalk indicator light would really help identify this crosswalk in hopes that it will increase safety for pedestrians crossing the road.
  • 112 Dodds Ct Burlington VT 05408, United States - Burlington Electric
Request 4 way stop sign at Shore and Dodds Very difficult to see eastbound traffic on Shore from the south extension of Dodds due to road curvature and fence. Multiple collisions are barely avoided per week due to stop shorts and swerving by Shore traffic
  • 111-115 Battery St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
High levels of speeding up/down Battery passing College. We suggest putting in a camera that catches speeding cars & motorcycles. It can be done legally (see Boulder, CO approach). The police don't ticket speeders, nor is there a sound ordinance about noisy mufflers on cars/motorcycles.
  • 208 Flynn Ave Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington Electric
turning left onto Flynn from the 208 Flynn parking lot is impossible with the new light in place. the only time people allow me to turn onto Flynn is when people are making illegal traffic moves because they know how tricky that spot is, so they wave me on. I fear this will lead to accidents, more congestion, and could make people blind to any cyclists, causing an accident between a cyclist and a car. pedestrian safety should always come first and this does not make anyone feel safe.
  • 510 Shelburne South Burlington VT 05401, United States - Burlington Electric
Hi - I'd like to propose NO TURN' signs to be added for turning vehicles at this intersection when pedestrians have activated the walk signs. Vehicles tend not to wait adequately for pedestrians, with some jumping ahead or rushing us from behind. It surprises me that the Flynn Ave crosswalk signaling set-up is properly designed for pedestrian safety yet it is not at this much busier intersection. Please consider this improvement. Thank you.
  • Shelburne St South Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric

I’m concerned about the influx of traffic to the Home Ave and Shelburne St intersection, it has made an already challenging intersection very dangerous.

This intersection is dangerous for cars, and tenfold for people on foot. The shopping areas, and surrounding neighborhoods, create a lot of foot traffic (which is good!) but it is challenged by the traffic flow here.

I have almost been hit by a car multiple times by drivers turning south off Home Ave, while I had the crosswalk sign.

Please consider a “no turn on red” option at this intersection. We have seen too many accidents, and deaths, on this road. We don’t need another.

  • 128 Lakeside Ave Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington Electric

Light exiting Tech Center at 128 Lakeside Ave, Burlington VT 05401. Red light skips green cycle.

My light was red. Watched traffic going by on Lakeside Ave, then their light turned red.
My light did not turn green but theirs did after a minute and the traffic on Lakeside resumed while I continued to wait at the red light. So it seems the light is skipping a cycle and not turning Green after the Lakeside traffic stops.

  • 120–122 Lakeside Ave Burlington VT 05401, United States - Burlington Electric
No way for pedestrians to know if they can safely cross at the new stoplight here
  • Lakeside Ave Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington Electric
Traffic lights are ambiguous at the intersection of Lakeside Ave & Chaplain Parkway, facing north on the Parkway. Two issues:
    1) There's a No Turn on Red but also a green arrow.
    2) The green arrow is NOT on the main intersection traffic light; it's to the side. Why even look over there, if there is No Turn on Red? Also, if you stop your car a little too far forward, you can't even see the green arrow. If the person behind you honks, you have no idea why (can't see the green arrow AND there's a No Turn on Red).
