Archibald St & N Prospect St Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington Electrictraffic mirror at the intersection of Archibald Street with Prospect Street could really make that intersection much safer. The hill and angle makes it very hard to check oncoming traffic when pulling out from Archibald onto Prospect. I've witnessed many near misses there.

North Ave & Village Grn Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington ElectricNorth Ave at Village Green really needs a "Box" or some sort of additional markings to keep NB cued vehicles from blocking the intersection. There is already a sign, but it is almost universally ignored. The red light phase is often the best opportunity to exit the neighborhood southbound, but inevitably the NB cue blocks that exit.

953 North Ave Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington ElectricCorner ofKillarney Dr/ North Ave intersection. Flashing x walk, bike path access street, 2 frequently parked large commercial maintenance vehicles & trailer parked on south side of street & car parked directly across on north side of street create safety hazard for pedestrians, cyclists, motorists & emergency vehicles. Visual access to traffic on North Ave on what becomes a one lane street (because of parked vehicles would not allow access for EMT/Firetruck. This is a chronic issue especially on the busy weekends. Suggest parking restricted to one side of the street and 100 feet from stop sign.

388 College St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricDespite a no parking sign, cars often park right up to the edge of the 388 College St apartment complex driveway, causing a dangerous lack of sightlines for those pulling out. I think the ~15ft space would be a great fit for a planter or something else to prevent parking while maintaining a line of sight to crossing traffic. Also, the "bike lane" on College could use repainting, widening, and hopefully eventually protection from traffic.

University Pl Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
On Tuesday, March 4 at 4:50pm or so I was walking to my car on UVM Campus. At the intersection of Main St. and University Place near Morrill Hall, I was almost struck by a pick up truck when I was in the middle of the crosswalk. The driver of the truck had whipped in from Main St. (making a left, coming from downtown Burlington) and was using University Place as a cut through, as many people do. He slammed on his breaks to avoid hitting me. Before this happened, I had already stopped at the edge of the crosswalk (on the side coming from the University Green), looked 3 or more times before entering the crosswalk, and had let another vehicle go through a few moments before. I know this crosswalk is dangerous and I always look more than two or three times, but it doesn't matter how much you look, it is unsafe.
This crosswalk would be safer if there was no left turn from Main St and a set of flashing pedestrian crossing signs. This is not an isolated incident. This is a very common problem at this crosswalk. Please do something before someone is severely injured or killed.

45 Archibald St Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington ElectricHi! I live on archibald and we really have no options for bike storage. I’m afraid my bike will get stolen and I rent so I have no power (or space) to install a bike rack. I know others on my street are in the same boat, and many kids bike to and from school nearby. A covered bike rack would be incredible somewhere on archibald, near IAA. I think this would actually increase the number of people who used biking as a transportation method around here!

Pearl St & S Union St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricThere is currently no LPI (leading pedestrian interval) for east/west crossings on pearl, across Union... almost all other intersections along this stretch of Pearl, with high pedestrian volumes, DO have LPIs. Not sure why this intersection is any different (unless the signal timing is currently off / incorrect)

316 Manhattan Dr Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington Electric1. Speeding: Vehicles frequently travel well above the speed limit along this stretch of the street, particularly during the early mornings and dark evenings, which creates safety concerns for pedestrians, cyclists, and residents and children that play outside constantly.
