Rapid Flashing Beacon Crosswalk pools with several inches of water whenever it rains. People using the crosswalk need to step in big puddle to press crosswalk button.

this is the entrance to our parking lot on Pearl Street. As you can see, after it rains there is a very large pooling of water at our entrance because the new curb that was installed doesn’t allow the water to flow to the catch basin. Is there something you can do about this?

. I manage a public housing group home with the Howard center at 1822 North Ave in Burlington. Our drive way is on Pennington drive. We have several residents who use wheelchairs and are unable to get into and out of the driveway due to a constant giant puddle and cracked asphalt at the end of the driveway (where driveway meets the road). I am really hoping someone can please come and fix this issue so the 6 disabled residents of this home can safely exit the driveway with their walkers and wheelchairs.

Noticed the retaining wall that is just north of Killarney beach has water pouring through it -- beneath and around the storm drain, but nothing flowing through the large storm drain. Would like someone to check.

Hello! After the street was replaced last summer, the section directly in front of our house no longer drains - whenever it rains (or snows, in this case), deep water collects and sits for quite a while. This is problematic when trying to get into cars parked on the street, or when freezing.
  • 56 Crescent Ter Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington Electric
Issue with ground water being pumped onto the street which then flows to the grate on the corner and overflows into the middle of Crescent Terrace. In the winter, it causes ice and in the summer, there is a slippery green substance along the gutter. Since the snow and rain storm, it is quite dramatic. Is there a solution to this?

Since 2006 or beyond the city sewer pipe backs up and overflows into my basement at 201 N. Willard. Yes, we have a backflow check valve and have our line cleaned by BP septic or P and P twice a year. I would love a permanent solution.
    Thanks,

65 Green Acres Dr Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric

The middle stretch of Green acres lacks a drain. A few of us have tried to shovel out the drain on the north Ave side of the street where all this water should drain to but it seems like the middle of the street might be lower than the drain.

Can the city investigate adding a second drain somewhere along the middle stretch to catch some of this water?

Area has very large pool of water when ever it rains. This is not just a winter issue. It occurs year-round.
  • S Willard St Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington Electric
The road was repaved last year and the intersection with Spruce Street is always flooded when there is rainfall. The customer stated the drains are all clogged with dirt, as there is also a house being remodeled in the same vicinity.

Water is curbing when it rains, including today (9/4). Pedestrians get splashed on by cars and there are deep puddles as a result.
