Issue with ground water being pumped onto the street which then flows to the grate on the corner and overflows into the middle of Crescent Terrace. In the winter, it causes ice and in the summer, there is a slippery green substance along the gutter. Since the snow and rain storm, it is quite dramatic. Is there a solution to this?

201 N Willard St Burlington, VT 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
Since 2006 or beyond the city sewer pipe backs up and overflows into my basement at 201 N. Willard. Yes, we have a backflow check valve and have our line cleaned by BP septic or P and P twice a year. I would love a permanent solution.

There is a large amount of water buildup at the first speed bump both sides going down Stanford Road have never seen this before like it is now and has been since the last big rain is there possibly a drain blockage I know there must be one around here. The buildup of water is making it very dangerous for people trying to walk or work in their yards shoveling. It would be great to see if something can be done and if there is a sewer drainage or whatever they call that in that area, maybe they could mark it and neighbors could Keep it clean. Now unfortunately it has turned to all ice.

187 Bank St Burlington VT 05401, United States - Burlington Electric
This area in front of El Cortijo has turned into a DEEP puddle after rain storms or snow thaw for more than 10 years. It's really unsightly and gross at best, and worst very dangerous when it freezes. This has been brought to the city's attention repeatedly over the years and it's beyond time that it's addressed.

This is a persistent issue. It is 50 today, but this regularly freezes and creates a significant hazard. Has been reported before and dismissed when the one time someone came to look it took so long that it dried up and was noted as resolved. It will be a persistent problem again all winter.

Home Ave Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington Electric
Unfortunately, when Home Ave was reconstructed, a couple of big "dips" were created between the railroad tracks and Foster St. I drove through there this morning around 10am and the dips were filled with water from all the rain. I think they need to fill in the dips to avoid water damage in the future.
