This was worked on by the City and closed, but the work they performed didn’t solve the issue. There is still much standing water.

Hi, this problem started when the construction was underway on 64th ST. The large vehicles tore up the ROW and now it continues to flood and look terrible. The city also gave some of my yard (“ROW”) to Century Link. Their maintenance vehicles continue to make the problem worse and aren’t willing to help find a solution. I can’t afford to fix this problem myself. It’s affecting the neighbors as well and seems unsanitary. If there’s anything the city could do it would be appreciated. Either add a curb or level the dip of with gravel or something. Thank you

This flood grows with the rain, covering even the sidewalk. Stays almost year round except summer months. Is there no drainage?
  • 307 N L St Tacoma WA 98403, United States - Newtacoma

There are no drains or basins on North L street between Division and north 4th. When it rains, the street floods with standing water and at times higher than the curb which causes a muddy mess on the parking strip. Some neighbors clean the leaves and mud out of the gutters and some do not. Can the city address the lack of drains and the engineering of the road to allow for proper water movement and drainage?

This photo shows what occurs when no action is taken - it's a river of mud that gets driven through over and over again causing dams to naturally form and pools of water.

Rain water standing and beginning to cross and run along 92nd street The more it rains the more it floods, and we are just at the beginning of rain season This can be dangerous for the kids waking to and from Stafford Elementary as they have to walk in the street, or wade through the water The water also blocks access to residential mailboxes as the rain continues

There is constantly standing water on the street here.
  • 810 S Steele St Tacoma, WA, 98405, USA - Central
This part of the street is constantly a huge puddle during the rainy season. Water isn’t draining anywhere, no catch basins in sight.
