City of Brookhaven PLUS

There are several broken sidewalks around Ashford Park Elementary that are located in the City's right-of-way. One section is located at the special needs school drop off point. Dekalb County School System has addressed some of the sidewalks that are out of the City's right-of-way. It would be nice if the City could coordinate with DCSS to address who's responsible for which areas and get all of the remaining sidewalk issues repaired.

Sidewalk has disintegrated on Ashford Dunwoody Rd from Chaucer Lane south to Parkcrest Drive making it dangerous for children and adults to walk to the Montgomery Crossing. Sidewalk is also too thin and close to street.

Similar to issue 200' northeast of this- the curbs do NOT have a graded ramp up or down the street- but are actually in a school zone. This is across the street from Kitteridge elementary school!

I see someone tried to fix the sidewalk on the corner of Briarwood and North Druid Hills, but the new work was crushed before the concrete could set, likely by a MARTA bus from what I've witnessed there.

The pitch on the sidewalk is incorrect, and too low and water collects and does not exit sidewalk properly. This was a repair done by Dekalb a few years ago but the pitch has not been correct since. I was glad to see the sidewalks being fixed on Windsor between Osborne and Hermance so that they were accessible with strollers.. However, the sidewalks near Fala Place were not fixed. Having two kids in strollers has been very dangerous trying to "jump" the curb. On several occasions, my kids have almost fallen out of the stroller. We would appreciate if this sidewalks were fixed so that they were stroller accessible and repaved where there is dirt.

Sidewalk needs repair

This area of Hermance Drive sidewalk is dangerous! From about 25 feet south of Ivy Brook Lane to the gate at Oglethorpe property there are cracks; chunks of sidewalk are depressed; chunks of sidewalk are sticking up aboveground. This has been reported to City Engineering Dept. It needs to be fixed immediately - please!
