Noise complaint オープンMile 9.2 Sr 60 E Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 3I'm opening this bc the other ticket on this has disallowed comments. After numerous attempts to determine a source of the persistent beeping (30x/minute) that's been going on since the Fall of last year, i am 95% certain it is coming from the SE corner of the roof of the Beebe school. Since the noise is 24/7 this shld be easy to ascertain by gaining access to the roof, and then this nonstop noise that is driving my autistic wife batty can cease...

36 Dartmouth Street #1110, Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 4The air filters have not been changed in over 1-1-2 years. These filters are disgusting and with the blower set up, potentially spreading germs from unit to unit. Requested air filter change today to be told they don’t have these filters in stock. We have allergies and asthma. Serious decline in maintenance and upkeep past year. It’s awful.

350 Charles Street Malden, Massachusetts, 02148 - Malden Ward 2
Every day at 3 o’clock when the school gets out, five buses pull up to transport the students home. For these buses are all lined up outside school on Charles Street and one bus is at the corner of Highland Avenue and Charles Street. Cars cannot maneuver down Highland Avenue to turn right onto Charles Street because of the buses and also the buses are blocking the crosswalk. Several times the school year residence of Monsignor Nagel apartments have called 911 and the ambulance have not been able to maneuver down the street because of all the buses on one side of the street and cars stopped at a red light on the other side.
This is an extreme safety issue and we all know during a medical emergency that every minute counts.I would appreciate this problem being taken care of if somebody was to go there around 3 o’clock. They would notice the problem the charter school also has a school on Emerald Street with two parking lots which basically I never used, my suggestion is take half of the buses from Charles Street and put them on Emerald Street and this would alleviate the problems.
This is also a safety issue for pedestrians who are trying to cross the street. I would appreciate some feedback on this problem, since I have a dress to previously, and nothing has come of it.

Rat infestation オープン88 Mount Vernon Street Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 4I am at 88 Mt Vernon St, on the second floor. Our apartment abuts the Early Learning Center. The rats were pretty bad all fall/winter but over the last month they have gotten horrible. On Friday 6/24 my roommate and I counted 52 rats in about 20 minutes. I have contacted my landlord about this, but I also think the school needs to address the issue.

Blomerth St & Maurice St Malden, Massachusetts, 02148 - Malden Ward 3
For starters - PLEASE DO NOT ASSIGN THIS REQUEST TO THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT. They are a large part of the problem. We need someone from the City to hold the Engineering Department accountable for better communication with residents during major construction projects that impact our daily lives.
Please explain why the residents of a very small neighborhood are expected to put our lives on hold for 2 1/2 month for a paving project. How can it possibly require that much time to pave such a small area? If work will be intermittent during that extended period, please tell us ACTUAL DATES when parking will be impacted by the work.
Many people in this neighborhood do not have driveways. We rely on on-street parking not just for ourselves, but also for people working in our homes. Are we just expected to put our home repair projects, childcare needs, cleaning services, and home health services on hold for 2 1/2 months? Some of these services require equipment to be brought into our homes. These service providers need to park close to our homes, not in the next neighborhood. Some neighbors already rescheduled home repair projects due to previous work on our street. We cannot continue to do so. We also cannot cancel and reschedule these services on very short notice.
This is unacceptable. We need to know when we can park on our street far enough in advance to schedule the services that we need.
Once again, the Engineering Department has zero regard for the residents of our city. We've been through this previously in recent years. The gas line and water line replacements were also done with insufficient notice and unacceptable communication. Numerous SeeClickFix requests for better, more timely information during those projects went unanswered.
Why is the Engineering Department allowed to operate this way? Why are they the only department that does not reply to SeeClickFix reports? Why are they allowed to ignore residents while they negatively impact our lives for extended periods of time? Why can't they give us more timely notice about projects that have a MAJOR impact on the daily lives of residents? (We received notice of this current work THREE DAYS in advance.)
I see that a neighbor on Highland Ave has made several SCF requests to the Engineering Department to please address a street flooding issue that is backing up onto his private property, and this request has been unanswered and unaddressed for months.
If a private sector employee performed this way, they would quickly find themselves out of a job. When is the City going to show some concern, regard, understanding, and respect for its residents, and start holding the Engineering Department to a higher standard?
Accountability for City officials is likely going to be in voters' minds during the next Mayoral election. We've already had one recent abuse of power by a certain City Councillor make the local news. DO BETTER.

Malden Massachusetts - Malden Ward 4
Just saw this post on The Patch. Not sure why more voters here in Malden aren’t UP IN ARMS regarding the reassignment of polling locations across the city. IT MADE ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE!
We’ve voted at Ferryway for as long as the school has been open …. NEARLY A QUARTER CENTURY! Went to Ferryway yesterday to find that we were reassigned to Suffolk Manor! SUFFOLK MANOR SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN! Air quality was extremely poor. Felt bad for all who worked the polls and had to be there all day long! Ferryway on the other had was nearly EMPTY … EXTREMELY POOR USE OF MAN/WOMAN POWER AS WELL AS SPACE!!!
Not sure what, if anything can be done before November, but, polling assignments should return to the way they were. No question. Hope action is taken to right the wrong …. SOONER RATHER THAN LATER!!
Hope prompt action is taken on this ClickFix! I’ve gotten way too many “anniversary emails” for previous ClickFixes sent in that were NEVER ACTED ON. Why have this platform in the first place if many important issues brought to the table are ignored??
Again, certainly appreciate prompt action on this important matter.
Thank you.

28 Holyoke St Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 7This property has been having constant foot traffic , 10-20 people come to this property on a daily basis and come for 5-10 mins, do hand to hand transactions to buy drugs and leave. Then turns into loud music, drinking and people talking loud at all hours of the night. 2 weeks ago there was a fight drug deal gone bad and a car shot up the street. Right now there’s a line of people waiting to buy drugs it’s ridiculous that we have to live next to this people. There’s litter and trash around the property just filthy. The first floor is over crowded with adults , teenagers and even little babies exposed to drugs, drinking and more.

112 Porter Street Malden, Massachusetts, 02148 - Malden Ward 5
The 2nd floor of this address is presently rented out to and occupied by multiple individuals with separate bedrooms, a common 2nd floor kitchen and living room.
2005-05-19 Malden Board of Appeal, Excerpts: “The petitioner sought a variance to convert the single-family dwelling to a two-family dwelling at 112 Porter Street. After hearing, the Board found that the petitioner failed to present sufficient evidence of substantial hardship affecting the land. In addition, the proposal would be detrimental to the public good and would substantially derogate from the purpose and intent of the applicable zoning ordinance. Upon motion of John King, which was seconded by Deputy Chief Colangeli, the Board voted to deny this petition.”

James St Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 1This is like the 4th time in probably a week where the residents of James Street have been prohibited from parking on our street for construction purposes and it’s yet another day of no construction at all. It’s incredibly frustrating of the city to not take the residents of James Street into consideration. If there is NO construction that will be occurring on a specific day, then let us park as we normally do! With kids out of school, many families are home for the summer and asking us to park a block or two or even three away when it’s clearly unneeded is an annoyance at the least and a hardship to some families.
