City of Malden PLUS

Vernon St Malden MA 02148, United States - Malden Ward 4We have a Ward 4 Councillor, Ryan O'Malley, who encourages community. Also must encourage littering and trespassing onto private property a community plus. He is also Allowed to "cherry pick" who he represents and is a Voice for in our community, and spitefully at that, who also yells and rants at their community members without letting them speak or finish a sentence and hangs up on them without being held responsible, is highly immature, preaches community yet runs around spending his time filing to get his fellow city officials telephone records and emails bullying people, who assumes things based on one sided information yet states them as facts, doesn't give anyone he personally dislikes yet does not know them firsthand at all in any way, shape or manner personally a chance to speak, is studying to become an attorney and graduating next year yet disregards his own City's ordinances, is sneaky, a complete phoney with a bigger political agenda, truly does not care about community unless there is a photo opportunity, and deserves to be removed by this community. Do not vote for someone who doesn't care or give a chance to Every Single Member of Our Community (whether he really wants to or not). His actions and lack there of have shown me firsthand who he truly is and it's appalling to say the least. Apologies, to all, however, if Mr. O'Malley, a non-homeowner of the Ward, didn't inform this Community Member He Did Not Have Time for the Community Member/Home Owner/Resident who was born and brought home to this Community/Tax Payer of this Community and who does actually care about this Community and property and actually HUNG UP on them unprofessionally instead, this part could have been avoided. With all of that being said and honestly for the Community to know who they voted in..
Ward 4 Councillor, Ryan O'Malley, Please explain to this gentleman how to use a trash barrel (he was just going through one on private property, I'm sure he could have used that) and kindly explain that he can get a fine for littering, even if he is trying to do it slyly and always on purpose, yet on video. He does not live on Vernon St. Part of being a good Community Member and a Good Neighbor is not throwing trash onto the ground at all and maybe add how in return, having it end up on other people's property is disrespectful to the Community. -
Extremely Loud NeighborsOtwarteHolyoke St & Wyeth St Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 7The tenants living at 33 Holyoke Street are becoming incredibly difficult to live next to. They are constantly yelling and playing loud music in the afternoon well passed midnight at least three times a week. The police have been called a plethora of times on these residents and they never change their behavior. They are a nuisance to this neighborhood and this issue needs to be dealt with because the noise pollution is ridiculous.

OtherOtwarte576 Eastern Ave Malden, MA 02148, USA - Malden Ward 6The lights in the back of the charter school swimming pool are left on at all hours. They are directed toward the houses on Playstead road and are bright enough that I can read the paper in my kitchen with all the lights off. Isn't there an ordinance about private parking lot lights being directed into residences?

Drunk snow plow driver.Otwarte84 Essex St Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 7On saturday Feb 7th during the snow storm there was a driver plowing snow well drunk. He was plowing it into people's driveways and almost hitting cars. When I stopped him to ask what he was doing he seemed drunk which would explain why he was all over the road driving a tractor. Ive included a photo showing him plowing snow into my driveway.

For starters - PLEASE DO NOT ASSIGN THIS REQUEST TO THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT. They are a large part of the problem. We need someone from the City to hold the Engineering Department accountable for better communication with residents during major construction projects that impact our daily lives.
Please explain why the residents of a very small neighborhood are expected to put our lives on hold for 2 1/2 month for a paving project. How can it possibly require that much time to pave such a small area? If work will be intermittent during that extended period, please tell us ACTUAL DATES when parking will be impacted by the work.
Many people in this neighborhood do not have driveways. We rely on on-street parking not just for ourselves, but also for people working in our homes. Are we just expected to put our home repair projects, childcare needs, cleaning services, and home health services on hold for 2 1/2 months? Some of these services require equipment to be brought into our homes. These service providers need to park close to our homes, not in the next neighborhood. Some neighbors already rescheduled home repair projects due to previous work on our street. We cannot continue to do so. We also cannot cancel and reschedule these services on very short notice.
This is unacceptable. We need to know when we can park on our street far enough in advance to schedule the services that we need.
Once again, the Engineering Department has zero regard for the residents of our city. We've been through this previously in recent years. The gas line and water line replacements were also done with insufficient notice and unacceptable communication. Numerous SeeClickFix requests for better, more timely information during those projects went unanswered.
Why is the Engineering Department allowed to operate this way? Why are they the only department that does not reply to SeeClickFix reports? Why are they allowed to ignore residents while they negatively impact our lives for extended periods of time? Why can't they give us more timely notice about projects that have a MAJOR impact on the daily lives of residents? (We received notice of this current work THREE DAYS in advance.)
I see that a neighbor on Highland Ave has made several SCF requests to the Engineering Department to please address a street flooding issue that is backing up onto his private property, and this request has been unanswered and unaddressed for months.
If a private sector employee performed this way, they would quickly find themselves out of a job. When is the City going to show some concern, regard, understanding, and respect for its residents, and start holding the Engineering Department to a higher standard?
Accountability for City officials is likely going to be in voters' minds during the next Mayoral election. We've already had one recent abuse of power by a certain City Councillor make the local news. DO BETTER.
