To whom it may concern, I’m a Malden residence and my address is 182 Bryant st. On 8/10/21 a company was cutting a concrete panel with a gas saw on 178 Bryant st next door from my house. Please note they were not using water during the cutting, so the dust was airborne, and all over my driveway and cars. Water should have been used while cutting to avoid the harmful dust. Please inform the company, as they are working across the street now, and lots of dust is being released into the air/street. -
Starbird St Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 5Detour of forest street is rerouting drivers to starbird st. That street is already very narrow two way street. This morning it was at a standstill. Drivers couldn't back out on mt. vernon or on porter to let others by. Please add a police detail in morning to help with traffic.

I find it really interesting The City of Malden has closed the case regarding the illegal parking space that has been created on the front lawn of the property at 55 Regent Road. The City is no longer allowing residents to pave their front lawns on Regent Road. Why would the city allow the property owner to create this mess on their property for parking, which is an eyesore to the neighborhood? The city should force them to dismantle it. Below you will find the message I sent on 1 June 2017:
Description
I was told by the City of Malden (Permits Department) that parking on one's front yard on Regent Road is not allowed. As you can see by the attached picture, the owner of 55 Regent Road has made a makeshift driveway, which is a total eyesore to his/her neighbors and everyone else on the street. At one point, The City was allowing the cutting of the curb (for a fee and a permit) to allow access to their property for purposes of parking on a City-approved driveway. Can you please look into this? Thanks.As a resident of this street and taxpayer, I would like to know why this is allowed at the expense of the property owners surrounding the property. It simply is not right and is a total eyesore. I really do believe The City of Malden sits on issues for a long time with no action, hoping that others don't notice so they can sweep it under the carpet. That's why the city has been become a "seedy" place in which to live. It's truly a shame.

Arcade Games taking payment without servicesAcknowledgedTown Line Bowling - Malden Ward 8Can you please send an inspector form Weights and Measures over to the arcade at Town Line bowling? About 1/3 of the arcade games appear to be operating in fraud mode where they take your payment but don't actually work. The bowling alley is less than responsive in giving you refunds when this happens and this issue has been going on from more than a year.

PestsAcknowledged181 Pleasant St Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 4We have had ongoing issues in this building with bed bugs and cockroaches. Myself and the other tenants contacted the main office and maintenance multiple times over weeks and rarely received call backs. Took 3 weeks to get my unit treated for bed bugs after I first reported. No one even called me to tell me it was happening. I found out from my neighbor. They don’t want to be bothered to speak to us. Other units have had issues with roaches one being so infested the floor was covered. When the office was notified by that tenants family member they were told “it can’t be that bad” I was witness to a floor covered in roaches. We do have photos. On 5/4 an exterminator tried to treat the unit but the infestation was so bad he had to leave and couldn’t finish the job. No one has been back and we constantly have roaches running out of the apartment into the hallway and into the unit across. It seems as though when we do get through to someone they are annoyed with us and just yell at us that they are aware. They even yelled at one of my neighbors to stop calling. It’s hard to stop calling when you wake up covered in bed bug bites and no one wants to do anything. We have been very patient but at this point we feel helpless with the lack of communication and urgency to a very serious infestation and need help.

You and the DPW do a great job. Noticed the new paving on Main Street has a seam that will probably open sooner than later. A lot of streets newly paved have the same issue. Seen it in other cities also. Is the paving company responsible for sealing the seams? Don't know why they don't manually grade the seams while putting down the initial asphalt. The seam on Eastern Ave has opened up big time. Unfortunatley, these seams shorten the life of the paving. Many cities seal the cracks and seams as needed. The pavers should be responsible for sealing the seams. -
