    Webber Street repaving:
    -Work did not START today until late afternoon despite ideal conditions (sunny, 65/70)
    -Roadwork CONTINUED until after 7:30pm, through the dinner hour
    -There are many young families and children in the neighborhood (many of whom go to bed by 7/7:30) who are impacted by the air and noise pollution. While we can all recognize that repaving is a necessity, work should conclude by 5pm at the latest when families are returning and moving into their evening dinner-bedtime routines

    Something needs to be done about the conditions at the Malden City Yard. The flooding, smell, mud , trash and general disgust of the place is absurd. I feel awful for the people who have to work there daily. Money should be put into making it a healthy, safe place to work and deposit the various articles they accept there. Anyone who has gone down there knows exactly what I am referring to. It is not the fault of the workers there . It is a structural matter which should be addressed by the city. I have seen many city yards in towns like Malden and NONE are in such poor conditon. PLEASE HELP the DPW.

    May 17, 2022 at 5 am. The pump truck was there again. The car wash has this service done each month and it sounds like a super loud vacuum cleaner. It takes them 2 hours each time. 5 am is too early to wake up the neighborhood! Please address this issue!

    Fence is to high and you cannot see incoming cars from the intersecting street to pull out safely. I almost got hit head on trying to pull out of the street.

    We have had ongoing issues in this building with bed bugs and cockroaches. Myself and the other tenants contacted the main office and maintenance multiple times over weeks and rarely received call backs. Took 3 weeks to get my unit treated for bed bugs after I first reported. No one even called me to tell me it was happening. I found out from my neighbor. They don’t want to be bothered to speak to us. Other units have had issues with roaches one being so infested the floor was covered. When the office was notified by that tenants family member they were told “it can’t be that bad” I was witness to a floor covered in roaches. We do have photos. On 5/4 an exterminator tried to treat the unit but the infestation was so bad he had to leave and couldn’t finish the job. No one has been back and we constantly have roaches running out of the apartment into the hallway and into the unit across. It seems as though when we do get through to someone they are annoyed with us and just yell at us that they are aware. They even yelled at one of my neighbors to stop calling. It’s hard to stop calling when you wake up covered in bed bug bites and no one wants to do anything. We have been very patient but at this point we feel helpless with the lack of communication and urgency to a very serious infestation and need help.

    At this point and on behalf of all the people trying to sleep along Main Street, please have the Malden police look for and pull over the driver who is racing down the road while reving their engine at around 1:15 a.m.. Another hooligan with an extremely loud muffler has gone by twice at 1:30 a.m. towards Melrose and then back towards Malden Center at approximiately 1:40 a.m. Why are these people allowed on the road?

    There are several people (one of whom has a little dog) who hang around the Oak Grove T station all day every day. They harass commuters trying to get to and from work and home. I've seen them harass children and they are often in the way, lying spread out on the ground when throngs of people come off the T headed to the bus area. They pan handle and regularly appear intoxicated.

    There is a noxious odor currently emanating throughout the building. It is affecting our respiratory health and burning our eyes. They were supposed to clean garage today but I am concerned about what chemical is being used and if it is safe for tenants.

    I need an official work order for the following issues:

    The talk and listen buttons on my intercom system still do not work (verified by Craig Powers on 01/08/2025) because the intercom system for the building is faulty; two buttons are broken and half the speakers don't work. This information was provided to Malik/the head of maintenance on 09/27/2023. I would like the intercom system for the building inspected.

    I still have holes in and outside of my unit from the installation of my faulty intercom system (verified by Craig Powers on 01/08/2025; see attached) that need to be patched up and painted.

    The electrical outlet on my bathroom vanity is faulty; it becomes loose when removing the plug and is slightly burned out (verified by Craig Powers on 01/08/2025; see attached).

    Some tiles on my bathroom floor have become loose (see attached).

    There's a loose wire, a missing banister and a hole along the edge of the wall in the hallway (see attached).

    There's exposed (no bag or lid on the can) trash left to linger in the laundry room (verified by Craig Powers on 01/08/2025).

    I ask for an official order to correct for said issues. Thank you.

    Could someone please explain what kind of work is going on and for how long? The no parking signs put out seem to indicate this will be going on until late July
