I walk my dog every morning up elwell to the top of olve ave. The average speed of cars going by is 40 miles and some higher. There needs to be more speed limits signs posted. Especially coming from the top of olive ave going down beachveiw. There's poles there with no speed limits. I had to jump in bushes to avoid getting hit several times. Elwell is just as bad. Thanks

There is a lack of speed limit signage on Ferry St, which is happens to be one of the busiest streets in Malden and not to mention in a school zone and a park. People speed through the intersection (cross/ferry) to beat the light and in turn causes accidents or very near accidents. Why aren’t their any speed limit signs or flashing speed beacons/speed radars present? An alternative solution could be to have raised cross walks or a raised intersection at the Cross St/Ferry St intersection and also at Upham St/Ferry St. Too many accidents or near accidents occur, the city of Malden should take the children’s safety serious and address the speeding issue before a serious accident happens. It’s in a school zone, it’s a no-brainer

Cars frequently drive very fast down the stretch of Valley St extending between Jacob and Lebanon streets, sometimes engaging in “drag racing” types of behavior. There are many young children living in this street (at least 8/17 homes- nearly 50% of homes on the street) and in the immediate area, increasing the threat to public safety. Speed bumps need to be installed to address this threat and encourage safe driving.

Drivers not respecting the traffic light putting people at risk specially in the morning. It would be good the place a police officer in that corner at least from 7 a.m to 9 a.m

Is Malden making any special plans for traffic on Broadway? From the Moose Club to Speedway Gas Station in the morning is now taking almost half hour because of people trying to avoid going over the Tobin Bridge. With the Casino opening in June, is it time to start thinking about moving out of Malden? Are there going to be special detail officers to control the lights at these major intersections? It would be nice to see a Malden Traffic Cop pulling traffic through these jammed up intersections once in awhile.

The response feels quite unsatisfactory, as it fails to recognize the actual issue. The crosswalk signals and the 'moved' crosswalk do not line up at all. They are not even on the same side of the road.

While I can understand that the crosswalk was moved to make it a shorter crossing distant (that's fine and good), it does not address the safety issue of having crossing signals that do not align with the crosswalk. I regularly walk here and it's confusing for both pedestrians and cars.

It's an accident waiting to happen and should be considered an open and active issue to be addressed.

I again saw two cars unknowingly run the red light at the nexus of Winter, Main and Forest Streets (in front of Spadafora Funeral Home). Drivers heading towards Melrose on Main Street are confused by the two consecutive lights, often looking at the one beyond that is green while their light is red. I often see drivers unknowingly running the light and am worried because I take that route everyday with my child from daycare. This is a safety hazard. Can something be done to make the traffic signal layout clearer?

Remove bus and bike lanes since the project was not completed. The paint work was completed to eliminate a travel lane but the traffic signal work was never completed. This had created significant traffic especially at Middlesex Ave area. More disturbing is it has become well known that certain officials and employees knew before starting this project that the signal equipment was outdated and could not support the required work to complete the bus/bike lane and re-timing of the signals bit chose to implement the lane work anyway knowing it would cause traffic backups. Typical Malden why do a project the right way when you can half a$$ it

The lanes on Winter Street need to be properly marked. When cars are traveling from Glenwood or Washington Street onto Winter Street, there are two lanes but they are not marked as to which one is for going straight. I travel this road every day and more times than I can count, cars will use the right lane to go straight, creeping up on the inside of cars in the left lane who are also going straight. The right lane ends at the intersection of Banks Place where there is also a crosswalk that is heavily used. Some simple signage or painted markings on the lanes would be very helpful to prevent car accidents and pedestrian strikes. Also, you may want to station a police car in the area of the apartment buildings, as many cars cross the double yellow line to drive on the wrong side of the road to turn onto Autumn Street when traffic is backed up. This makes for a very dangerous situation. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Please paint road with lanes. No idea if this is one or two lanes, and everyone interprets it differently. Please get your stuff together.
