    The majority of the street lights between Great Plain and Wilshire Park on Harris Ave face the non-sidewalk side of the street. This makes it difficult to see where you're walking on the sidewalk when it is dark and it's particularly difficult when it is snowy and icy. During late fall through early spring, I walk to the train when it's dark and I walk home from the train when it's dark. In icy conditions, I often walk in the street b/c you cannot see the condition of the sidewalk and I've almost fallen on black ice in the past. It would be beneficial to have the street lights flipped to face the sidewalk side of the street.

    There is a street light on my property that shines into our windows at night. Any type of shield at the back of the fixture would likely keep the light on the sidewalk and street and prevent lighting my house.
